Cole said in an interview with HuskieWire 2 freshman night play at RB next year. So Huff and Turner could both play.

JJ Watt was a two-star recruit when he went to Wisconsin.. Stars or rankings don't mean **** when it comes to recruiting.

Also, Manning thought that Bouagnon may even play next year. I guess they're hesitant to label Turner as an RB. Manning really mentioned Bouagnon and Huff as RBs. He really likes Bouagnon's size/toughness. He said a back like that was really missing this year (Jamal Womble where are you?).

It's just hard to believe that the first MAC team in a BCS game can't rank in the top 100 teams according to Rivals.

it just does not matter what outside sources think, which is waht Coach Carey said. Nobody sees more film and meets the recriuts in person then coaches do. They are the definitive source

Agreed... like I said, all that they do is win. I think that they had a really good class this year and filled a few holes with some good recruits. I really don't care what anyone else in the MAC did this year. We'll still keep winning, and that's the bottom line.

Not to mention a TE in the MAC....

Think of the speed that could be on the field with Lewis/Miller/Turner. Daniels and Huff aren't slow either.

Illness was ranked in the top 40 by 1 service and too 50 by another

Still would have liked to see what Bouagnon could do at LB.

I know, I just re-watched Turner's video. He is a game changer. Man we really did well at RB and WR the last 2 years IMO. Our future is bright. I can only imagine with an opened IPF and a full year to bask in the glory of the Orange Bowl what kind of positive impact we can look at for next year. But until then, I can't wait for the season to get started.

Only by the sheer size of the class for the Illness. They only signed 1 player considered to be a blue chipper. The "real" B10 teams signed many players at this level. They did nothing in recruiting to take them out of the bottom half of the B10 for years to come.

Geography lesson #1 of the off-season. The majority of Alabama is east of Illinois. Mobile and a good portion of the western edge of Alabama is relatively straight south of Chicago. All of Alabama is in the central time zone.

Side note: I find time zones pointless. The majority of people will be at work or running errands when the sun is up anyway, the hour of the day according to the clock really doesn't matter.

Side note #2: Daylight Savings Time needs to not exist anymore.

Hopefully someone can answer for me, I just got home from work and don't feel like thumbing through 32 pages of posts: We had 25 signees, but I didn't think we had that many scholarships to give. Any idea on number of scholarships versus number of preferred walk ons?

pretty sure Coach Carey said 14 scholarships and 10 walk ons/grey shirts

Yeah, the border between East and Central time zones is weird. It follows the Illinois-Indiana border for a while then it curves toward the southeast, so cities like Indianapolis and Louisville are Eastern while Nashville and Birmingham are Central.

To get 24 recruits with 14 scholly's is awesome. The more preferred walk ons the better, as they don't get a scholarship until they prove themselves. In addition, the NIU's past has been good to preferred walk ons, so they can earn one. Good job with that Carey!

If we only used 14 scholarships on this class I would consider it a huge success
