Pretty sad when Andy Kennedy of all people has 7 more wins over ranked teams than Josh Pastner. Just saying.

More opportunity and some were probably undeserving of the ranking to start with.

7 of 23 isn't bad for a program of Ole Miss's caliber. Of course they were undeserving... I'm sure the 12 or however many ranked teams Pastner lost o should've actually been ranked higher.

I guess we'll just have to live with Austin Nichols in his spot. Who would you rather start?

Stop your begging and whining. Haven't you heard the expression, "A blind hog will occasionally find an acorn" or somewhat similar prose. So the bears have a fairly decent team every 4-5 years.Based on your $1 overpriced CA ticket offer, you need us, we don't need you....and after this year, you'll likely be back in your familiar, mediocre rut.
I don't think so, but if it makes u feel any better, what ever. The truth is, we have a good recruiting class coming in. Remember the player from Ms. that u wanted this year? Well he'll be in red and blue next year. Plus most of the team will be back next year. And to think we need u and u don't need us is laughable. We don't need yall for ANYTHING. But do and say what ever makes u feel better about your team.

yeah, I wouldnt use NIT wins as a measure of a successful program.

You do realize that is all Pastner has right?
0 NCAA wins 1 NIT win.
compared to
0 NCAA wins, 2 NIT wins, 7 top 25 wins.

AK has been coaching for 8 years and has made the tourney the same number of times that I have. Josh has already had a more successful career than AK just for the fact he's gotten his team into the dance 2 times in 3 seasons.
I'm not even that big of a Pastner fan. He's a great recruiter. I'll give him that. That being said, Josh is a better coach than AK. Kennedy would have already been canned at any school who gave a flip about basketball. 7th season at OM - finished over .500 in the SEC a grand total of 1 time in 6 previous seasons (9-7).

Kennedy also has a win over Pastner, Pastner has 0 wins over Kennedy.
Head to head- 1-0 Kennedy.

Nice reply! So you agree, in the past 4 years Kennedy has done more than Josh?
1 nit win, 1 loss to ole miss
or 2 nit wins, 1 win over Memphis...
Bottom line, Kennedy has outperformed Josh.

So just to be clear, you're using only two stats (one more win and a head to head win) derived from the result of a single game, boiling the outcome of that game down to coaching alone, and then making that an argument for superior performance.
I guess that argument speaks for itself!
I have an even better argument for you though...
Andy Kennedy has NEVER LOST an NCAA game. That makes him superior to Pastner for sure!

One is recruiting to the Tad Pad with no history of success. The other one is recruiting to a top 20 program with an NBA arena. I wonder how each would do with the the others facilities.

Just to make it clear, I am NOT saying Kennedy is great at all, I am not even going so far as to say he is good. I am only saying
2 NIT wins including a win over Memphis. 0 NCAA wins.
vs
1 NIT win including a loss to Ole Miss. 0 NCAA wins.
Numbers are numbers.
That doesnt even include the top 25 records for both teams during Pastner's reign.
