What a game. Henry is one of my favorite Niners ever. Guy had ice in his veins, tonight.

Charlotte, how has your OOC so far compared to your upcoming OOC games? (Yes, I know I am setting myself up for some ECU smack here)

OOC has been pretty soft but gets more difficult with Miami and Florida State. Davidson I guess is considered a good win even though we are 28-11 against those guys all time. I think Ashville took State to the wire so who knows? Also, we are still starting freshman and sophmores so anything can still happen. Our remaining OCC schedule

We should of won that game by 12-14 points but the refs definitely kept them in it. I can honestly say we earned that win. Our fans brought it too, we were 30% of the attendance and were louder than them the whole game.

Bolded will likely be RPI anchors by March. UNC-Asheville may not be much better but their always a threat to win their tournament and make the field

I agree with you. All we can do is win the games on the slate and hope for the best. It's always hard when scheduling D-I games in the middle to lower tier conferences because there are such swings from year-to-year in individual teams that they could've been #130 in the RPI when you scheduled it and now they're #269. Hopefully we get enough wins to where the only thing that affects is our seeding 04-cheers.

Not that hard. Schedule A-10/CAA/C-USA for most of your OCC and you won't be too bad off

RE: Charlotte 49ers Basketball Thread
I guess we could just schedule 4 or 5 DII teams since they wouldn't hurt our RPI at all.

I realize you don't make ECU's schedule and you may not even like ECU's scheduling of DII teams but the last team in CUSA I want to see scheduling advice from is ECU. I mean if scheduling A10/CAA/C-USA schools for most of your OCC isn't that hard as you say why doesn't ECU do it?? Props for playing Chapel Hill and UMass though those are quality games for you guys.

I was saying in general but if you want to go that route.

Because ECU doesn't have the history nor RPI which means we can't get payday games against top teams like UNC that often which means we don't have money to buy quality home (or 1 for 1) games.

Now even with the football only Big East we could use some of that influx of money into basketball scheduling.

Charlotte on the other hand is easy to get to, in a top media market, and has the history, RPI, and money to get quality opponents attracted

As far as OOC scheduling goes, let's hope we built some relationships in the A10 that will help us out once we move to CUSA.

Our relationship with Temple helped us schedule a home and home with them in football. Hopefully we will continue to schedule them for basketball too.

Home and home with them. Boot ECU off the schedule, unless they want to do a 2 and 1.
