From E$PN. Hopefully this keeps the NCAA from granting GT a waiver. It seems obvious that the MAC is one of these conference.

Quote:Industry sources told ESPN that "several conferences" are opposed to Georgia Tech getting the waiver, because it would take away a bowl spot from an eligible 6-6 team.

If the waiver was granted and UConn and Pitt become eligible, it would take a bid from either an 8-4 BG or 8-4 OU.

Maybe, but it could be 7-5 Western Kentucky.

Maybe, but it could be 7-5 Western Kentucky.

73 eligible teams would mean, Central Michigan, Western Kentucky, and either BG or OU.

Besides WKU (7-5), a second Sun Belt team would also be sweating it out should GaTech, Pitt, & UConn all become eligible.

ULMonroe (8-4)
MTSU/Ark St loser (8-4)

Edit: ULaLa is in. They took full advantage of being close to NOLA.

La-Lafayette has already accepted a bid to New Orleans.
