Thank the good lord!!!

Games tonight. UConn/Mich St. Followed by UK/Maryland

The OSU/Marquette game is on NBCSports at 7. We'll see how our future college basketball network could look.

I wish we could see that O$U game. I would love to see that being played outdoors

I think the aircraft carrier games are dumb. Why not just play at a base somewhere in the country.

Hard to believe that nobody stopped to think that a night game on a ship in the ocean - hey, there might be condensation on the floor.

At least have a contingency plan to play the game indoors if necessary. Cancelled and won't be rescheduled? Marquette just lost their best OOC game. If they are on the bubble at the end of the year they are really going to miss the RPI bump from this game.

Great job by Ollie to get his first win. I wonder how long it'll take before UConn gives him a long-term deal? It's hard to recruit with a 7 month contract.

I think this will be a really good UK team, but not a great one. Not as much NBA ready talent on this team. Next year's team will be ridiculous though... 40-0 could be a realistic goal.

#25 FSU just lost at home to South Alabama, 76-71. No idea why they were ranked ahead of UC in so many preaseason rankings. At least the AP got it right.

Ouch. Rutgers lost to St. Peter's 56-52. In the last 8 minutes they were outscored by 10, had 6 points, and 7 turnovers. I figured they'd take the next step up this year with all those young guards, Miller, and Judge transferring from KSU.

And the second game is called at halftime. What a joke.

Felt pretty gross rooting for Dez Wells against UK tonight. UK has a lot of talent, but no where near what they were last year.

That is a joke! There were questions if the UNC-MSU game was even going to start last year and now two games this year without a backup plan?

I hate UK with a passion, but that was cool watching Polson, a former walk-on, basically win the game for them. He completely outplayed Harrow. I already feel bad for Noel because that nut job fan base is going to be all over him for not being the next Anthony Davis. I'm not even sure he's as good as Drummond. He's nowhere close to Davis.

My favorite thing about Noel is that he rocks the High Top Fade. Next thing you know dude is going to be walking around wearing Polka-Dot shirts and Hammer Pants.

How about the Super Bowl-sized headline in the morning Enquirer for Xavier's win over a seven player FDU team that was 3-26 last season and left half their squad at home with suspensions? You can't make this stuff up!
Cheers for UCONN carrying the banner against a ranked Big Ten team on opening night.

It was comical listening to Brad Johansen's call of that game. You would have thought he was watching the #1 team in the country destroy another ranked team. At least Steve Wolf constantly put things in perspective.

ESPN's 24-hour tip off marathon starts at midnight with WVU @ #21 Gonzaga. It ends tomorrow night with Duke and UK.

I love the college basketball season!

I'll second that. Going through the dark days has made me appreciate my Bearcat basketball exponentially.

WVU looks awful! Down 45-18 at half. They have 13 turnovers and are 1-13 from behind the arc. If this offensively challenged group even sniffs an at-large bid it'll be one of Huggins best coaching jobs.

New Mexico is on next. Not looking forward to the return trip to The Pit.

I expected them to get beat handily, Gonzaga has a lot of talent back and WVU is starting 3 new guys. Watched the first half and WVU looked lost. They'll be fine in the Big XII.

Tonight should be a great night of basketball. 04-cheers
