Tier 1 = UF, FSU, UM (somehow)
Tier 2 = USF, UCF
Tier 3 = FAU, FIU
UM has at risk of falling. Moving away from the Orange Bowl and the NCAA sanctions has really hurt the Canes.
USF is moving up, but the lack of an on campus stadium is holding them back, and those of us here in Tampa don't realize it.
As long as people get both FAU and FIU confused, we'll both be on the bottom tier. We have the history, the Shula Bowl, and the stadium. You have awesome success the psat couple years, a good conference, great media market and great leadership.

I disagree. FIU is definitely fighting UCF for the number 5th spot. FAU is clearly in last though.

1. UNC
2. NC State
3. ECU
4. Wake
5. App State
6. Duke

Yeah Duke really is that bad and that irrelevant.

I put USA behind Jacksonville state yes. Because I believe its the truth right now. But in 2 years or so USA should take a step up.

So for FBS programs it would be:

1. Alabama
2. Auburn
3. Troy
4. UAB
5. USA

This is not hate for UTSA, this is just going off of last year and previous seasons. You could switch any one of TXST, SHSU and SFA
Abilene isn't DI FCS, they're D2. (unless you were doing all levels because, yea, they're pretty good) You forgot Lamar.
I realized I forgot Lamar after the fact and is ACU not joining the Southland? I don't think it's been announced but that is beside the fact they are better than multiple FCS programs in Texas.

But seriously...by what possible metric could you possibly suggest that you have a better football program than Kentucky?

You've played three times total, were blown out the first two times and in the third game one of your best teams ever lost 14-3 to one of their worst teams ever.

In one game they sell more tickets than you do in an entire season.

Kentucky is not very good, perhaps you will even beat them this year(I don't think so, but it could happen) but get real, a better program?

Summed it up nicely. WKU does not have a better football program than UK. That's like saying MT has a better program than UT, or like FAU is better than the U.

Kentucky is in the SEC. Has the potential and actually has been ranked in the top ten in the past decade after an upset or two. They have fans. Lots of them and can fill a 50,000 seat stadium with their own fans. They're not the worst program in their conference or division. WKU plays in a 22,000 seat stadium. Western has room to grow and is a good program but cant sniff what Kentucky can or does accomplish. Yet.

I'd say Louisiana Tech is a better program than UL or ULM at this point. Though UL is on the rise and could over take them very soon. Tech's program is not as bad as many on here think. Just being real.

Tech has had more success playing against tougher competition. I understand UL is on the rise and they're doing some good things but they are not better than Louisiana Tech. I'm sure most people outside of UL fans would agree.

First of all why is ULM even mentioned in your argument? No one said Tech was a bad program?? We are a good program..there is very little difference between them and us. Think about this too, it took us about 15 minutes to catch up to them.

I never said we were better than Tech.. I put us as 2a and 2b... no particular order. Anyway I dont believe the title mentioned top football programs in your state over the last 20 years.. I assumed it meant right now.

You're right ULM doesn't belong in this argument. And yes, many people on here have talked in long drawn out fashion about how bad Tech's program is. Maybe you haven't, I don't know. The "15 minutes" it took, was very impressive. Very commendable. Keep it up. I think the gap is a little more than just a pinch, but if you have a repeat or better last year's results, it will be extremely close. I like what yall are doing. Good luck this season.

Pretty easy in Missouri.

1. Missouri
2. Missouri State
3. Southeast Missouri State

Not including the D2 schools in this, even though right now Northwest Missouri is the true powerhouse program in the state.

No, not really. Do you want to start comparing UK to UF and UT? Gimme a break. UK is an embarrassment to the SEC.
