VP's have very little impact on the race. I do think Rubio was the best choice. Once again the Republicans deliver a plain vanilla ticket.

In no way is this meant to defend Paul Ryan or Mitt Romney, just simply a fact check:

Paul Ryan votes Nay on Recovery Act (2009 stimulus)

I thought that was the case.

..and was there actually a vote to stay in Iraq indefinitely?

RE: My thoughts on Paul Ryan
All that matters is his budget proposal, and now Democrats can hang the Ryan plan around the neck of not only Romney but every vulnerable GOP House member in the country. But yes it is funny to hear Eric Cantor on CNN this morning say Ryan came to DC to clean it up and bring fiscal responsibility, when he voted with the Bush administration on everything including the huge Medicare prescription drug bill, which was completely unpaid for.

Max.

That's the reason I think the GOP has no credibility on these issues. Then you have Ryan's voting record during the Bush years. I really don't understand what they can be thinking?

Some of the Tea Party freshmen might have credibility, but a guy like Paul Ryan who was a loyal Bush soldier when they took a balanced budget and transformed it into a dumpster fire most certainly don't.

Ryan does nothing to draw me to Mitt. If anything..he is a negative. His support of the police state is a real problem for me.

Strengthens the ticket in the upper MW, Wisconsin,IA and MN. Perhaps some help with a "Catholic" vote. Does NOT hurt Romney. Hell if Biden can;t lose votes for Obama , I 'm sure Ryan can't lose votes for Romney.

I like the pick. Strong stance on budget and economy. Young, energetic, well spoken, and will demolish Biden in debates.
I look for obama to be attacking him before the sun sets Monday on his budgets.

Strategically it's not the best pick he could have made but it's a far better pik than biden was..

Biden was a check the boxes pick. HRC was obviously the best pick but Obama made a competent choice in Biden.

Obama and the Clintons can't stand each other. He'd be looking over his shoulder the whole time if Hillary was VP.

This!

Well Obama had one too. It didn't have a chance in the senate but he submitted it.

Biden was a good pick because he had a lot of foreign policy experience and appealed to white working class voters, both Obama weaknesses. So he misspoke a few times. Big deal, nobody thought he was actually dumb like Palin.

I'm in favor of a national ID card and the Patriot Act.

Is Science Fiction Theater 3000 still on TV? Every time I see your sig I want to ask that but keep forgetting.
