RE: My thoughts on Paul Ryan - Claw - 08-11-2012 10:44 AM Exactly. Romney just gave it away. O gets another term. RE: My thoughts on Paul Ryan - THE NC Herd Fan - 08-11-2012 10:48 AM VP's have very little impact on the race. I do think Rubio was the best choice. Once again the Republicans deliver a plain vanilla ticket. RE: My thoughts on Paul Ryan - firmbizzle - 08-11-2012 12:00 PM GTS, at least he has Paul in his name.
RE: My thoughts on Paul Ryan - Cajunman02 - 08-11-2012 12:18 PM In no way is this meant to defend Paul Ryan or Mitt Romney, just simply a fact check: Paul Ryan votes Nay on Recovery Act (2009 stimulus) RE: My thoughts on Paul Ryan - maximus - 08-11-2012 01:06 PM (08-11-2012 12:18 PM)Cajunman02 Wrote: In no way is this meant to defend Paul Ryan or Mitt Romney, just simply a fact check: I thought that was the case. ..and was there actually a vote to stay in Iraq indefinitely? RE: My thoughts on Paul Ryan - Max Power - 08-11-2012 01:30 PM All that matters is his budget proposal, and now Democrats can hang the Ryan plan around the neck of not only Romney but every vulnerable GOP House member in the country. But yes it is funny to hear Eric Cantor on CNN this morning say Ryan came to DC to clean it up and bring fiscal responsibility, when he voted with the Bush administration on everything including the huge Medicare prescription drug bill, which was completely unpaid for. RE: My thoughts on Paul Ryan - Machiavelli - 08-11-2012 01:34 PM Max. That's the reason I think the GOP has no credibility on these issues. Then you have Ryan's voting record during the Bush years. I really don't understand what they can be thinking? RE: My thoughts on Paul Ryan - Max Power - 08-11-2012 01:52 PM Some of the Tea Party freshmen might have credibility, but a guy like Paul Ryan who was a loyal Bush soldier when they took a balanced budget and transformed it into a dumpster fire most certainly don't. RE: My thoughts on Paul Ryan - Fo Shizzle - 08-11-2012 03:07 PM Ryan does nothing to draw me to Mitt. If anything..he is a negative. His support of the police state is a real problem for me. RE: My thoughts on Paul Ryan - NIU05 - 08-11-2012 05:03 PM Strengthens the ticket in the upper MW, Wisconsin,IA and MN. Perhaps some help with a "Catholic" vote. Does NOT hurt Romney. Hell if Biden can;t lose votes for Obama , I 'm sure Ryan can't lose votes for Romney. RE: My thoughts on Paul Ryan - 200yrs2late - 08-11-2012 05:50 PM I like the pick. Strong stance on budget and economy. Young, energetic, well spoken, and will demolish Biden in debates. I look for obama to be attacking him before the sun sets Monday on his budgets. He'd be looking over his shoulder the whole time if Hillary was VP. RE: My thoughts on Paul Ryan - maximus - 08-11-2012 07:46 PM I can't believe Biden and competent was just used in the same sentence RE: My thoughts on Paul Ryan - Max Power - 08-11-2012 08:07 PM (08-11-2012 05:10 PM)Bull_In_Exile Wrote:(08-11-2012 04:39 PM)Smaug Wrote:(08-11-2012 01:30 PM)Max Power Wrote: All that matters is his budget proposal, Well Obama had one too. It didn't have a chance in the senate but he submitted it. Biden was a good pick because he had a lot of foreign policy experience and appealed to white working class voters, both Obama weaknesses. So he misspoke a few times. Big deal, nobody thought he was actually dumb like Palin.
