I am not a Memphis hater. Frankly, I'm starting to warm to the idea of the premier basketball addition. But please, enough with repeating this line . . . UH isn't Tier 1, and you are not a football program to be proud of . . .

* You are 5-31 over the least 3 years, and have only 3 wins against FBS opponents in that time.
* You haven't had a winning records since 2007.
* You currently hold a record of 3–3 in some of the lowest-tier, unwatched bowl games ever played. The Burley Bowl was not an NCAA sanctioned Division I FBS bowl game.

Memphis football is as bad as any program in the country and has been for a long, long time. You were admitted for basketball and for the promise of future football improvement. You're not expected to make it to a bowl game in the foreseeable future in the Big East. Everyone just wants you to not suck and to put 35,000 people in the stands when everyone else comes to play. No one expects you too win in football any more than they expect Houston or SMU basketball to win a Big East conference title in the foreseeable future.
But please, this is the Big East board not the Conference USA board . . . act accordingly.
