I could see some recruits following him over here. Could be a win win, get PJ back and some good recruits from the Big East. Announce it as soon as possible!

RE: Hot Rumor
Recruits react to Flood hiring
Quote:As soon as word leaked that Kyle Flood was Rutgers' new head coach, there was an immediate outpouring of support from the members of RU's recruiting class of 2012. Flood received a ringing endorsement from a host of future Scarlet Knights.
Looks like losing recruits may not be an issue as it seems that they know and like the in-house selection.

I would think that Canada would still be very high on that list.
But that's if DD ever wants to leave.

If this is happening....they really have to announce this tomorrow...right? Especially with the "twittering" that looks to be lurking out there.
Don't think they'd want to overshadow the recruits on Wednesday's Signing Day.

Do not understand why anybody would want Canada over Fleck. It won't happen either.

I wouldn't want Canada over Fleck.. but I think it's debatable who is more qualified if Doeren leaves next year.

Fleck will most likely never be more qualified than Canada. Unless he goes off and is a head coach somewhere else, it won't happen.
Assuming this is true, P.J. will be the next head coach unless something unforeseen happens.

Well qualified in general.. while we might think PJ is great, it's a pretty bold move for an AD to hire a 32 year old w/ one year experience as an OC at a MAC school is all I'm saying. A few years down the line, I think there's no doubt, but it'd take a ballsy AD to hire him if Doeren leaves after next year. You're going out on a limb, even for a guy as respected as Fleck. Canada is the easier hire if you're an AD, a lot of OC experience, in the Big 10, and now a high profile, top 15 program like Wisconsin under his belt, Canada is putting together a solid career in his own right. And this is coming from a guy who isn't a fan of Canada.

He was a finalist last year. It'll be about as no brainer of a hire as you could possibly get.

If we have another successful season next year, our coach DD will have the opportunity to move on to another job. The next coach will be another assistant from a BCS school. I

Dammit.. clearly I was wrong. If Wis11 says it I know Canada doesn't have a chance. Fleck it is.
