1 BUT I think he qualifies for a 6th year because of the timing of his 2009 injury.

I hope he hits the gym hard.

If he can get back down to the 220lbs that he played at while at UNC, and our HUGE OL develops, he will be a BEAST!

EDIT: No wonder he looked sluggish, he's listed a full 27lbs. heavier than the last time he was productive at the FBS level.
He has not been productive at the FBS level.

He played in 2 games for UNC against FCS teams and didn't get many snaps for those.

I thought I saw that he averaged 6.8 a carry in those 2 games.

Looks like he was recruited by Wisconsin out of High School by a current teammate father.

...those two games being vs FCS opponents.

The point being that he didn't play a game vs an FBS opponent until we Army.

I hope he realizes this could be his last opportunity. It would be nice for that 6th year but its not guaranteed.

I didn't realize that.

UNC started a season with 2 FCS teams...yeah, AQ makes sense.

Per his tweet...Jhony Faustin is hosting a recruit some time soon.

My guess is its a CC player or a guy from Florida

Trevon Coley is visiting SD St today so I guess he could stop by after on his way back home???

I find it really positive that he is visiting SD St...just in the fact that he is willing to use an official visit that far North. I didn't think we would have a chance with him.

I think I read here that WI lost a kid to Rutgers, hopefully he goes back and WI leaves our verbals alone.

Quote:Greg Schiano was supposed to be at Don Bosco Preparatory School promptly at 8 a.m. Thursday morning to recruit some key prospects.

That never happened.

JC signing day already happened, right? I doubt we'd be hosting one of them, but I could be wrong.

Jhony Faustin is a FL kid, a JC kid, and a CB.

Probably one of the FL recruits projected as a DB. Names?

Lamontiez Ivy 6'3" 225 (from East ST. Louis) #23 rated dual threat QB,is taking a visit to Illinois this weekend without an offer. Says he is probably going to make academics. Wonder if we have any interest?

Is he the STL area dual-threat QB?

Yeah that's him. He plays at East St. Louis. Real good player/prospect. It will be interesting to see what he ends up doing and if anybody actually offers him with his academics. Somebody could offer him late and hope he gets in, or try and place him at a prep school and sign him next year.

For those not on twitter the coaches took the recruits downtown to soldierfield. Awsome weather for a night in the city.

That's a good question. I'd imagine quite a few are/will be in this weekend since it's the last before signing day.

Scout's final recruit ranking for the state of Illinois shows Leonard Garron and Jack Stibich committed to NIU. I wonder if that's true. We have now heard of about 6 linebackers being committed at one time or another: Mike Cotton, Ladell Fleming, Cody Hazelett, Austin Smaha, Garron and Stibich.

Now that's a real time update! When I found and posted it last night it said Hawaii and today it says NIU. Hopefully it still says that tomorrow too.
