Just checked both Arizona and Fresno State's rosters and recruits, according to Scout.com. Arizona has two quarterbacks returning, and has two verbals from recruited quarterbacks (although one is a 'soft' verbal).
Fresno State has four quarterbacks listed on their roster, and they are all underclassmen (freshmen and sophomores). No recruited quarterbacks as yet.
I know many of you have soured on Mike Baker, but If these are his two preferences (Arizona and Fresno State) I wonder what he is looking for, other than what I have stated before, playing nearer to home. The best he could do in these situations, is a walk-on. I really can't see either offering, because if things stay the way they appear, they both will have four quarterbacks on their rosters.
Good observations Ken.
I hope the QB and his father counted and assessed the QBs on the Fresno roster before getting too deep in the recruiting process.
Doesn't Fresno also have a new head coach and staff?
Curious if he could walk-on at Fresno? Big gamble I would say.
I am wondering if English had a choice between the two QB if he would still choose Baker over Mouton?
I still prefer Mouton over Baker because he would fit into the current offense (run 1st with options) Beside he is faster and would allow us to run the option with a options.
Rival.com had this article (below) about Baker:

The old Fresno State coaching staff wasn't interested in recruiting three-star pro-style quarterback Mike Baker but now that they've been replaced the Fresno (Calif.) Central East standout hopes things are different.
Baker said he hopes to hear from Fresno State's coaches.
Baker, who shined in the Cal State Game Friday, made it clear that he'd like to stay close to home and that Fresno State would be a great fit.
"I really want to talk to the Fresno State coach because I would stay in the valley," Baker said.
"That was a good thing to me (that the old staff is no longer there). The other guys that were here didn't want to recruit the valley hard so I hope (new coach Tim DeRuyter) does and comes talk to me. I would like to stay in the valley if I could and to play football here.
"I was thinking about it, I was talking to my dad, it wasn't something they wanted but they're gone and now I hope the guys that come in can come recruit me."
Baker, rated No. 26 at pro-style quarterback in the 2012 class and No. 70 in the California state rankings by Rivals.com, took an official visit to Eastern Michigan and will consider that program but wants to see what Fresno State does first.
"I took my official out to Eastern Michigan and I'm just going to let the recruiting process play out a little longer and I'll make my decision a little later," Baker said.
"I went out there to see how it was because I was never on that side of the country. The whole atmosphere was different when I got there. It's something to think about it and I am thinking about it but I might want something else."
In his senior season, Baker threw for 2,436 yards with 28 touchdowns and nine int
