Not sure how it doesn't make any sense. Harnish and Grady are gone after this year and Lynch isn't for sure going to be a QB, and even if he is he's the only QB on the roster.

Not sure about that but he looks good. I just find it surprising that we are taking 3 QB's in this class when we thought we would have 10-15 commits as recently as 10 days ago. I also find it surprising that I can't find any information on Devin Rose besides that video.

He was an honorable mention player for the Eastern Kansas League which has 8 teams in it...and 7 of the 8 QB's in the conference received at least honorable mention (how would you feel to be the QB for Blue Valley Northwest?)

The Kansas qb signing is strange. Not because of us signing 3 qb's...just the lack of information on him. Similar to the Oklahoma kid.

its not the only one... it appears we might lose Marlon Oden (safety Akron, OH) to a D-III School in Cleveland.

umm....if we're "losing" someone to a DIII school, I'm guessing they didn't have an offer from us anymore.

Actually it appears he preferred to stay close to home, and wanted a better Pre-med track over football. He also has offers from Kent State.

So his decision isn't based on playing football then, which is fine, but he's not choosing D-III football over NIU.

Do D-III even give athletic scholarships?

no. Only academic and needs based.

If I can find one tiny thing to criticize on this years class, I thought Doeren even coming on LATE would be able to snag -2- IL MAC level recruits,one being that 6'5 DE Zach Colvin headed to BG and the QB from Richmond Pister headed to Wyoming. Its a small,small criticism but I was interested in both coming to deKalb....(gotta find something to b**** about)

For all we know, Doeren didn't think either kid was worth going after at the end and liked other players more. I know Pittser was highly rated, but he only had a few FBS offers. College coaching staffs had a different opinion of him than the Rivals evaluators did. He was a nice story, coming from a tiny town, but he got plenty of exposure and most college coaching staffs passed.

Aaron Clinton-Earl and Josh Mikes committed to Winona State (Winona Forever!) so they won't be showing up here as walkons.
