The COMMIE-crats are not interested in listening to any GOP plan. The only thing the COMMIE-crats want to do is create a single payer plan with a large gubment bureaucracy to DICTATE who gets health care and who doesn't killing off the elderly, seriously ill and anyone else who doesn't fit their definition of a life worth saving.

I know I've heard of a plan like this implemented somewhere before if only I could remember....

If your answer to the first question is better, then the second question is how and why do you expect that result?
If your answer to the first question is worse, then the second question is why shouldn't anyone vote no on the bill?

For the record, my answers are "worse, much worse, lower quality at higher cost" to question one, and "no reason why" to question two.

I have not heard his whole thing about "Obama's Waterloo" coming from the republicans (maybe Rush has said this, but I wouldn't know because I don't listen to Rush); I believe the sensible republicans are opposed to the bills being considered because they are bad bills. I've only heard this idea coming from democrats, who seem to be trying to leverage Obama's personal popularity to get a bunch of bad legislation passed.

I will agree with you that the republicans need desperately to come up with a viable alternative instead of just voting no. I would prefer a two-tier system like France, Germany, Switzerland, or Brasil, but there are any number of approaches that are better than the "one size screws all" plans currently under consideration.

Sen Jim Demint came up the "Waterloo" phrase. It was in the context of if Obamacare is stopped, considering the immense political capital the President has put into the effort, it will be would be as big of a defeat as Waterloo.

I think Obamacare WILL be defeated. But Obama's "Waterloo" is happening NOW.

Because of this legislation, the American People are seeing the "real" Obama. The true South Side Chicago, Community Organizer, Leftist, Big Government Tax and Spend Democrat that has been able to fool lots of people for a really long time.

People see him for what he is... and are saying... "I can't believe we voted for this ......."
