The deficit in a joke. It's beyond the point where it can be solved in any meaningful way by spending cuts or tax increases. What will solve the problem is AI transforming society. But to the extent that doesn't move fast enough, inflation will fill in the gaps. Even Trump understands this.
And there it is in real time.
The "thing" we are making is going to save us all.
No, its not. Its the final and biggest deception of all. Its our destruction and finally brings the end of mans rebellion against God.
We both agree on this. We just have a different perspective on "God".
Absolutely. I believe in the Bible on this due to the overwhelming evidence, and you just make up your own God and "truth" to suit your own desires.

Pleasure interacting with the crowd again. I registered Republican this past spring after 14 years being a Libertarian. My voting leans to the right the bulk of the time so I figured it didn't make a difference. See yinz around and have a safe holiday season.

The Jewish block has mostly swung to the right and we're seeing Republicans African Americans win governor races. This is something very much worth tapping into in future elections.
I don't think the platform itself is inherently awful, there's actually a ton to like, but the party's road map to accomplish that was more or less state solutions instead of the market fixing itself. We as Republicans need to go back to being small government Republicans again. I think everyone in this board realizes we need to produce sht again.
The Party will definitely have to turn to someone outside of the current admin if they want yo win POTUS in 2028.
Just the typical ebb and flow when the incumbent in the WH becomes deeply unpopular due to broken promises and poor execution. We'll have gridlock.
If this wave was contained to typical battleground states, I'd agree with you. The tsunami crept into Texas, South Carolina, Kansas, Mississippi and Iowa. This is a complete rejection of MAGA.
That's what makes the ebb and flow possible though. When a side gets thoroughly rejected - the other side gains. The magnitude came because Trump hurt his biggest supporters through tariffs and the Iran war. Along with that, the Ukraine war was already causing inflation through cutting off Russian oil to most countries, putting cost pressure on diesel thru hitting refineries in Russia and the fertilizer shortages around the world putting in new floors for food prices.
Trump did the EXACT SAME THING that the Biden WH did to the people during his term. He gaslit the country telling them the economy is fantastic despite 50+% of the people feeling the pinch from rising food and energy prices. This board appropriately ridiculed Biden over the gaslighting yet gave Trump a pass for doing the same. Most here still think D vs R is important. It's the ideas that matter only, and when one side looks indistinguishable from the other...you're going to get these wild swings until new and better parties come to the forefront.

I fully agree with this. I felt all summer Trump was setting himself up for an epic loss.
You can't tell the voters is raining and piss down their necks on the economy. And that is exactly what he tried to do.
They were going to get shellacked in this mid term regardless because that is just how this always seems to go. But the war and the impact on gas and food prices changed it from a just a mid term wave to allowing the nuttiest candidates of all to win in red
heartland areas.
Even if Trump is right about the long term benefits, he hurt the country badly this year by helping the communists and socialists to get a foothold.

I don't think Vance has ANY shot. He's not likeable, at all. And he will be saddled with all the trump baggage unless he manages to distance himself which won't be easy. If he tries, trump will bury him out of spite.
Rubio is much more likeable...but he'll also have to shed his pathetic sell-out to trump.
Vance has already started distancing himself from Trump, and two years is a long time for whatever to happen. I do think the Repubs may need to trot out someone that hasn't been under Trump's umbrella, but again, two years is a long time away and who knows what may happen between now and then.
Maybe Ron Desantis or Glenn Youngkin (or even both of them on the same ticket) would fit the bill.
Possibly those two; however, the Dems will simply tie them both to Trump somehow. Even two years from now they will simply campain on "not another Trump" rather than offer their own platform that would benefit US citizens.

The ONLY thing I worry about is them trying to take away my AR-15s. Nothing else they might do would have any affect on me.

Well, when I moved into my travel trailer, I gave away a small arsenal, kept one .38 for self-protection, and hit the road.
