RE: Freddy's Back
I'm wondering if he'll head west next. If he drives on I10 into El Paso he can sample real Mexican food and hike the Franklin mountains which are entirely in its city limits. The drive over Transmountain is very pretty and it goes up to a mile in elevation. He can visit the oldest churches in the US too, we have 3.

I know it's a similar cuisine, but he'd also love Tex-Mex food here in Houston or just Texas in general. Also, some of the best Mexican food I've ever had was from a food truck that was just down the road from the townhouse we rented when I lived in Alvin. (We being myself and my ex-wife.) Their bistec tacos were phenomenal! There was also a joint there called Taco City that had some of the best breakfast burritos, lunch and dinner tacos and burritos, and even quesadillas. It had become a favorite of ours.

I ultimately hated living in Alvin (for reasons I've stated many times over the years), but we did have quite a lot of options for food there when we wanted to get take out, which, admittedly (sadly), was a lot.

There is a guy with a food truck in a gas station parking lot about a mile from my house from El Paso. Best Tex-Mex I have found outside of the lonestar state

I love Freddy's travel saga. Should make Americans appreciate what we have. And work to preserve it.
