Here's the "Best of both Worlds" potentially
We obviously know why guys like Bill Gates and the other tech moguls who were so big on CO2 and climate change are now singing from a different hymnal. Moving forward, expect nuclear to FINALLY get that huge push. Honestly, it would check all of the boxes if they go big on nuclear power: less CO2 plus extremely high energy dense power available by flipping a switch.

Quote:Nuclear power will receive most of the money from the Energy Department’s loan office as the Trump administration pushes to quickly break ground on new reactors, Secretary Chris Wright said on Monday.

“We have significant lending authority at the loan program office,” the Secretary of Energy said at a conference hosted by the American Nuclear Society in Washington D.C. “By far the biggest use of those dollars will be for nuclear power plants — to get those first plants built.”

The emergy demands of AI and the like will force Nuclear becasue it is the only thing that can handle that capacity. It will be interestign to see how many site will be created and where they will be located.

Nuclear is not the only power source for AI. Human batteries did just as well in a matrix. Science fiction sometimes is too damn close to the future.

*energy * because *interesting, and its more interesting to consider where all the nuclear waste will go.

Keeping the humans alive would take as much power as they stored.

The Matrix completely ignored the laws of thermodynamics. Science Fiction sometimes is too damn ignorant of physics.

Nuclear is the only one that can scale quickly enough for AI.

You know. Bill Gates does vaguely resemble Hannah Montana.

Totally. After drinking a dozen shots of tequila and if you squint just right.
