Charlie was just an incredible person and had a lasting impact in his way too short life and career. The impact he had politically on the youth in the country is the likes of which we have never seen.

What is the job of our government? Protect the lives and property of the citizens, uphold its laws, and do it all within the Constitutional framework. Our job is to defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic. Freedom of speech is a right and since this was a scheduled event that right had been approved. The gunning down of any public speaker regardless of whether what they have to say is popular or not, is a protected right and the one committing the murder to stop it is not only guilty of murder, but the attack is upon the Constitution itself in that the motive was to silence the ideas of the speaker.

People would know this if the responsibilities of citizens, the function of government, and the application of law were still taught the minions of braindead parrots of socialist tripe promulgated as education in the public school system. If they were actually educated by the schools tasked with teaching them their role as citizens or responsibilities of government to them and they to government, and obedience of the law for the common good things would be better. But hell, they don't even to teach them to read and writer well, to use their language properly, to add, subtract, multiply or divide in the heads, or the actual non politicized history of their nation.

99% of the social ills in this nation are traceable to the agenda of the NEA. Just teach and quit indoctrinating and we'll be fine regardless of our differences. The agenda of schools needs to return to being a local school board's responsibility so that parental rights return to the supervision of their children's education.

But the function of government and the citizens relationship to it is not the topic of this thread. The public murder of Mr. Kirk is.

I'm currently watching Anderson Cooper to see how CNN is reporting this. They show a video of Charlie throwing hats and there is clearly a guy on the roof in the background in black with what looks like a barrel pointing up. It is footage from KGO. I'm assuming that is a local station.
