President Trump responded, ” And again, the energy is a very important component because we have more energy than anyone else in that sense. And I think it was very wise…they buy a lot of energy and it’s great stuff.”

President Trump noted that steel would stay as it is as it is a worldwide issue.

Under the terms of the deal, the EU has agreed to buy $750 billion worth of energy from the US.

Additionally, the EU will make $600 billion in investments in the US and will purchase hundreds of billions of dollars’ worth of military equipment.

European goods coming into the U.S. will have a 15% tariff, the EU will put 0% tariffs on U.S. goods.

Without Trump, the EU would continue to take advantage of the benevolence of the most powerful nation in world history in both trade and military spending. It is well past time hard working and long suffering Americans be granted a more even playing field and less defense burden.

While I agree with this, on its face this is beyond an economic home run. We imported $600 billion in 2024 from the EU. Simply math makes that $90 billion a year in tariff revenue from the EU alone.
