Just watching the video, 100% positive this was a professional hit. Zero doubt in my mind. The murder apparently occurred at 6:45am this morning — about 7.5 hrs. ago. If I am correct that the shooter is a pro, and if he hasn’t been caught by now, then he probably never will be unless somebody else chooses to give him up for whatever reason. I’m hearing he took a bike and disappeared into Central Park. Even with all the security cameras out there, that’s a needle in a haystack type of scenario for the cops.

Yes. Very much so.
Professional hit men probably don’t exist outside state sponsored intelligence orgs (Russians with a polonium dart).
I’m not saying you can’t pay someone to kill someone, I’m just saying that the highly competent professional hitman of the movies (John Wick, Grey Man) isn’t out there.
This person did seem to know what they were doing, had practiced enough to know that whatever subsonic / suppressor (weapon looks suppressed) combo they had wasn’t going to cycle and smoothly moved into manual operation.
This is less likely a paid hitman and more likely someone who is REALLY pissed at UHG. Something like they denied something for their kid and the kid died.
You don't think the MOB or Cartels don't have hit men? You hear plenty of cases also of people hiring someone to kill somebody.
100% fact there are professionals outside of state sponsored ops

he's obviously aware ... 'muh reals' become unreal to some ... I'll never figgle out that bs in the 'why or the whine' ... any way you slice it, it's a planned hit...

True. If he was stupid enough to leave his prints, he might as well have sat down on the pavement and waited for the cops like the guy who shot John Lennon.

He left live rounds. He was catching his spent rounds and looks like after every shot would "****" the gun, which he didn't need to do since it is a semi and would expel a live round. If I'm knocking somebody off, I'm using a revolver.

He had a suppressor, the weight of the suppressor on the barrel can cause the gun not to cycle reliably. You need a Nielsen device to boost the pressure and get the pistol to cycle reliably. He may have been using a homemade can without one and had to manually cycle the slide to get another round in.
Even with one some very low power subsonic can have issues cycling.

heat quickly becomes the shooters enemy ... yeah, it's why he never flinched and why pro or practiced to kill ... either way, it was a planned hit...

So you're going to use a John Wick movie to base your opinion on how professional hit men work?
No, I’m assuming the original poster is basing his frame of reference on movies as he thinks professional hitmen are an actual thing.

I’m sure that at some point in my life I saw a tv/movie that had a “professional hitman” as a character. But I don’t think those kinds of shows represent real life. Not even close. At the same time, yeah I do believe that there are some people out there who are ready, willing, and able to kill a random stranger (to them) in exchange for $$$. For now, I suspect that is what happened in this case.
Meanwhile, it appears that Brian Thompson’s killer walked into a Manhattan Starbucks about 25 min. before the shooting, and stood at the counter for a brief time to place his order. This allowed his face to be partially photographed (eyes and nose, skin color), and possibly (very doubtful — but possible) allowed a barista to observe his eye-color, hear his voice, etc. All of which does cause me to doubt my own theory. So, we’ll see.
