Most everyone here has too much bias to effectively judge the results unless it was painfully obvious, like with Biden. Trump supporters expected Harris to be a blabbering, cackling mess like she is most of the time, but forget this wasn’t really an off the cuff thing. We expected Trump to make her look like the idiot she is but he missed too many layups.

At the end of the day though, it’s not about us and most of what I’m seeing today indicates that even though she was in her best form, she didn’t win many over with her platitudes and generalizations delivered with her fake sincere tone. Trump was just what all Trump supporters already know he is.

The loser in the debate was NBC because that was the only obvious horrible performance.

Interestingly----Im seeing some indications that the moderators went so overboard in their bias that it actually backfired with independents. In retrospect---its wasnt so much that Harris won the debate by appearing more polished----it was the fact that Trump missed so many easy chances to land big knock out punches---but failed to recognize it. I only had a few keys for Trump to win easily. He needed to give quick short answers to what he had to know would be biased moderator questions and instead use most of his allotted time to pivot to the topics he wanted to talk about. A second key was to not allow her to bait him into topics that she wanted him to discuss. The third was to press her on specifics and force her to explain why she hasnt dont any of that stuff over the last 4 years. He did better at the first key than the latter two---though I dont believe he really did great at any of them. His closing was perhaps his best moment of the night. I would have like to have seen way more of that.

The moderation "fact check" was misleading as usual for ABC. The problem with Trump is he often assumes people know what he is talking about and he fails to realize many need to have some details filled in before the issue makes sense. There absolutely were laws that allowed babies to essentially be killed after birth under certain circumstances. If a baby was born alive during a late term abortion attempt---it would not receive normal post birth care and the wounded baby would essentially be left to suffer and die. That is a fact. Otherwise Congress would not have needed to pass the "Born Alive" bill (passed in June of 2022). Yes---this is a relatively rare situation---but it does happen. Yes---both sides are playing linguistic games to an extent with the issue---but I suspect if the people have the details of the practice explained to them---they would be horrified by what was happening.

The "media" is in the bag for one political party and the left rejoices. Never mind the ramifications of a corrupt press, as long as it benefits your side.
