Best to put up sensors stay awake at night and pepper the coyote(s) with your shot gun.

They will just get bolder and bolder if you do nothing.

We had one on our front porch block my daughter from coming inside one night.

We have something in common. We have been in our house 6 years, on a wooded creek, and we have a family of coyotes living directly behind our fence, maybe 50 yards or less. We hear them very clearly many nights. Been there since before we moved in.

A few weeks ago, I had just pulled out of my driveway when Papa coyote came trotting across the road with some poor dead animal in his mouth, headed back to feed the new babies. You can't shoot them within city limits, so they live back there and prosper.
