RE: Grand Canyon and Seattle to the WCC
Wow, never thought I'd see the day when the WCC allowed Seattle in the door, especially with Gonzaga still in the conference. Congrats to them.
GCU isn't really a surprise. In fact, it's a smart move by the WCC to gobble them up. I think the Lopes will run roughshod over the WCC and compete in the top of the conference in MBB.

The only sake of argument is money it’s definitely not about your school winning.
NMSU has finally had a couple of seasons above .500 but they beat NO P5 teams. In fact got trashed by them. So, what does it really say about CUSA?
Not much
Someone is not paying attention and making things up. NMSU destroyed, humiliated, and dominated Auburn of the mighty SEC.

My bad inmissed that.
So used to seeing the Wisconsin and Minnesota Azz kickings the Auburn win got passed me.
Overall you can expect to get trashed.

Haha, Tarleton... Yall really trash talk the conference that yall begged to get an invite from. Then shoved it down everyone's throats, that yall were certainly going to be invited. Enjoy slipping into the abyss of FCS football.

You can take off that asshat you’re wearing off and stop making yourself out to be a clueless clown.
If you had spent any time on the WAC Board instead of being a drive by you would already know my thoughts on FBS.
But unlike some WKU FAN I AM NOT THE SPOKESPERSON FOR TARLETON.
So, save your snarky comments for those who want to be in the down cast trampled under football bottom rung FBS CUSA.
That conference other than a money grab does little to compete against the power conferences. A win here or there doesn’t show your overall record against P4 schools which is dismal

With the current WAC Commissioner probably next to nothing and a handshake thanking them for their time in the conference.
He’s a joke of a hire . He’s over his head unqualified.
The alternative description of his job performance would be worse and this is a censored board.

Why do you keep comparing CUSA and the G5 to the P4? What's the point of that? Do you really think the G5 is trying to keep up with the P4?

I’ll tell ya; it says CUSA leadership actually visited and saw through the lies and embellishments. That’s why you were passed five times over.
Tarleton could’ve raised its profile from anonymous status, brought in more money to the campus and community, and hosted brand-name opponents while being irrelevant in the FBS. Instead you get none of that while being just as irrelevant to the FCS landscape.
But ya, makes more sense to sit at the kiddie table with Western Georgia and Dixie State. Tarleton’s peers.

The last reply here is so important and true. Are some of us disappointed? Hell yes!! Is it the end of the world? No. Now and three years ago just wasn’t our time. We will continue to grow, develop and advance our great institution. At the right time, the right conference will come along we will move to FBS. Being picked over now and in the past doesn’t diminish our great university in any way. We cannot burn bridges as CUSA may be become the right conference in the future. We are an up and coming school and we will have our day.
Until then, we congratulate Sam, Jax State, Kennesaw and Missouri State on their invites and wish them the best of luck.

How long is this going to be a crutch/excuse for your school’s repeated candidacy and rejection for FBS invites? Tarleton State was a candidate in 2020 when CUSA was bleeding members and held meetings with conference HQ, as confirmed by ESPN’s Pete Thamel…
https://twitter.com/petethamel/status/14...87202?s=21
Six FCS school spots between two FBS leagues and an attempt at forcing your way in through lawsuits later, and Tarleton is still here with the newest crop of D2 move ups. No need for TSU fans to pretend it’s the preferred destination and crap all over the place TSU wanted to be just because they weren’t invited to the party.
Your repeated rejections aren’t based on your arbitrary divisional status, it’s based on Tarleton’s candidacy as an FBS school.
Hopefully in time, Tarleton will actually draw what they claim, or win National Championships in the FCS like, say, recent move ups Sam Houston and Delaware did to boost your candidacy. Until then, it’s all a mirage.

How long has SHSU and Delaware been D1 and FCS?

RE: Grand Canyon and Seattle to the WCC
Somehow a thread congratulating two basketball-only schools for moving up to the WCC turned into turd throwing contest between two football schools over which one deserved a CUSA invite.

Also not aware of many FCS teams that host P4s. MTSU gets Duke in TN next year. Liberty hosts in-state VaTech in a couple. LaTech has H&Hs w/ Big 12 and ACC schools on future schedules. WKU hosted Indiana in 2021.
And the P4 “body bag” games? Your payout is double. Forget 500k, you’re looking at millions.
Even regional G5 opponents are more attractive than FCS schools. TXST, UTSA, Tulsa, Rice, Ark St. (all of whom have scheduled w/ new FBS teams) are sure to bring in more attention/fans than OOC games with, say, Southwest Baptist or Houston Christian.
The scheduling possibilities in FBS are endless. Anyone who’d rather stick around in a flimsy D2 callup fb-only conference and the dying WAC is trolling.
The ONLY TROLL on this WAC BOARD is you SAMMY H.
Go enjoy another beat down football season in front of a ghost crowd.
Your home attendance is D2 level
SHSU football couldn’t draw flies at a landfill covered in roadkill. FACTS
And yet SHSU, who can’t draw flies, was selected over Tarleton. What does that say about your football program, athletic dept. and school?
I’ll tell ya; it says CUSA leadership actually visited and saw through the lies and embellishments. That’s why you were passed five times over.
Tarleton could’ve raised its profile from anonymous status, brought in more money to the campus and community, and hosted brand-name opponents while being irrelevant in the FBS. Instead you get none of that while being just as irrelevant to the FCS landscape.
But ya, makes more sense to sit at the kiddie table with Western Georgia and Dixie State. Tarleton’s peers.
May the Southland have mercy on your Soul
Good! Now go enjoy being a University that gets shuffled into obscurity.
Enjoy your FBS doormat status.
No one not even the students there care about their athletics.
Don’t take my word for it just look at their own self reported numbers. It’s a commuter school.
But Sammy please keep crowing because it’s all the PRESS the school is going to get.

That’s because all of CUSA posters are more interested in the WAC Board their own conference. They came over with their brother better than you.
Spouting garbage.
CUSA = Bottom Rung FBS

Man. You got me. Sam Houston State has no fans. How’d you know. That’s it. I’ll have to wipe up my tears with our CFP payout money which is more than the entire UAC’s combined.
Enjoy your FCS doormat status.
