Residence hall. I hadn't been to campus for a while and drove through that area last night. That building is going to be massive and you don't get a feel for the size until you see it from a far and then get up close to it.

I run through campus a lot (nice to have wide sidewalks and good lighting) and my route takes me past both Carrier and next to the Village dorms.

Both are impressive projects.

Going to be more impressive once all the Village dorms are replaced and there are 6 new ones.

Just listened to Coach DiMichele's interview with Riggert, definitely worth a listen. Maybe I've missed this elsewhere but he definitely says around the 19:00 mark that the Alpha Dogs have led the charge to get a 100-yard indoor facility "soon". Am I out of the loop?

There is a contract awarded for steam line replacement to take place this summer under F lot and between Godwin hall and the football stadium. From the RFP it looks strictly like replacement, no relocation of utilities and definitely not related to whatever stadium discussions are ongoing. That line's only 20 years old.

well that seems to tell us that the expansion would go right on top of it then ? would be foolish use of $$ to replace this line now ( as long as functional) with the potential expansion in next 5 years unless assuming we could manage to build around / over it .

Why would this not have been done prior to F lot being built? You got an open field there for 100 years, a couple years after laying some asphalt, you trench right through the new pavement. No need to respond...

Like I've said before that steamline and drain tunnel are not in the way of a BF expansion. It certainly can be engineered around it. There were more utilitys between the parking deck and BF than between Godwin and BF.

Sonner is getting renovated. Might be staging for that.

JMU Facilities page also says "Fire Pit install" for Hartman hall. Could be that.

Sonner needs serious help....praying for an exterior "blue-stoning" of the building - not likely due to cost, but it could work

Man I’m getting old… that building used to be latest and greatest in the late 90’s. It does still carry the stank architecturally from that point in time.

I remember going in there as a Freshmen and being pretty impressed. My favorite part was the wide view of Newman Lake.
