Now THAT is how you respond.
Republicans don't know how to respond. Britt was too prepared and stiff. Lake just takes on Biden's lies directly off the top of her head. I think that's more the approach that is needed. Of course that may be due to Lake's training as a news reporter. Maybe, just maybe, she'd have been a better choice to respond than a first-term senator. Who thought that was a good idea?
Republicans commit political malpractice routinely.

She tried way too hard.
She did, but she's also not a trained actor so I give her love.

The majority of Republicans in Washington are part of the uniparty.

She’s to pretty. As Rush used to say “politics is show biz for the ugly.”

And liberterians do nothing habitually.
Britt did fine. She hit her talking points and as a young woman playing the family card the Liberal commentators on CNN and CNBC didn't have much criticism. The question would be how much of the SOTU viewership did she keep in rebuttal? It's hard for the left to pick on a rookie who is sincere and never mentions Trump. It's called tactics. If it's Ramaswamy, DeSantis, or some of the others it would have been cropped and edited to look stupid and the MSM would have run with all of it. So, in this boxing match Britt delivered a sucker punch without taking damage. And the real reason she was selected (former top aide to Shelby) is to get her face and name out there because she is legit right.
My old roommate and one of my two best buddies knows her husband and says the family is at it appears and he likes them. His BS detector is as good as mine, which is one reason we've been tight for well over 50 years. We don't lie to each other about anything. If that's the way he feels about them, it's good enough for me. And I found out all of it when he lambasted me for not voting for her. I just thought she was too young.

How the incredibly smart, attractive, and articulate Kari Lake lost the election in AZ is beyond me. She is everything the GOP needs to move beyond the swamp, and her comments are spot on. As a Senator or more, I am all in. Not my type with the short hair and sharp tongue, but I respect the crap out of her. She is the Catherine Herridge of politics with an agenda and a personality. I hope she reached very high and has great impact.

While the substance of the Republican response wasn't bad, it wasn't anything groundbreaking either. Also, it was severely over-prepared (and thus over-acted) like a high-school level actress. The setting also seemed a bit too fancy of a kitchen to click with the average regular voter. Not quite Nancy's ice cream, but I found myself being reminded of that horrific miscue from the tone-deaf left. Republicans should know their base better by now. I'm hopeful these decisions will change for the better now that RINO Ronna McDaniel finally got the long-overdue boot back to Liz Cheyneyville where she belongs.
It was a missed opportunity in that should have been President Trump to give the rebuttal--after all, he is the presumptive nominee at this point, and since this wasn't anything close to a presidential state of the union address, but instead an unhinged, speech-slurred angry rant from a teleprompter by a puppet high on amphetamines, might as well have gotten the party started.

Maricopa County Election Fraud is how she lost.
IOW, she didn't really lose. Funny how that appears to keep happening when Marxist/Globalists and RINOs control the counting...

XACLY!
some tried to label it as 'pissin' off the McCain faction' .... #puhlease
'22 was a direct result of changes to branch covidian voter regs made before '20...
be prepared for '24 ... what little value I could find over winter mos. wasn't promising .... too many moving parts are still in play (basically WI and GA revised their ad-hoc drop box regs to n/a and "secured") ... all harvesting mail-it-inn regs are the same ... that's what really matters (they'll simply have to work vertical sections with more diligence)...
and of course, there's always that silly arse tally...
