FBS Schedules still has it for 9/2/28. When they try to weasel out, because they will, I hope it is prohibitively expensive.

The guarantees for those games @ UVA were $400,000 a piece. The ODU home game had no guarantee but a $800,000 cancellation fee. Assuming they cancel (it’s not on their site) they would have paid ODU $1,600,000 for the 3 game series (400,000 per game at UVA, 800,000 to get out of the return in Norfolk)

Looks like Army to AAC is official. Wonder if this will affect our series with them in 2029-30 and 2032-33

Would imagine it will. They’ll have a lot of games to get out of or move.

That seems like a really strange fit for the ACC.

It's $1,000,000 each to get out of the game(s) for Army. If they cancel the entire series, they owe ODU $4,000,000 per the contract.

1 home game for each team has $0 guarantees. The third game of the contract, at UVA, cost them $800k guarantee. The money was just spread out over the 2 games at UVA which worked out to be a smart move by us since there is such a big delay.

We rotate 2 new ones each year. After next year there will only be one West team we haven't played, so we will start the loop again but home/away sites reversed. Presumably in 2025 we'll get either Arky St away or South Alabama home.

Then use the money for athletics and let some of the ODAF donators use some of their money to join the new ODU NIL team (in the vp today). Could be wrong, but unless you have a lot of money this would be another way. The paper said we have some wealthy people to join. Hopefully time will tell.
