10 in a row...um...you guys are pretty good. We're just okay right now. Goaltending shaky...but offense doing enough to win most nights. Need our injured Defensemen back on ice. Shea, where are you?

Not going to like, after having that streak in which goals weren't going in and we were losing, to not have the change in philosophy and the fact it has turned around to this now 11 game win streak is a huge testament to Rod and his coaching/beliefs in how to get it done. I'm only hoping we don't peak to early and burnout in the playoffs.
This year's Winter Classic was amazing! The Rink on Fenway looked great, the TNT announcers had great fun and insight during the pre-game, Bobby Orr did the "puck-pitch' to Jason Varitek! The game started out a bit sloppy, but Pittsburgh hung tough through 2 periods. Boston came back strong in the third and Jake DeBrusk scored two great goals to take the lead. And the game was ALMOST tied in the last second! Linus Ullmark is having an amazing year in Goal fro the Bruins. They will be tough to beat in the playoffs!
Tristan Jarry got hurt early in the first with a puck off the knee. You could see he was struggling on his right leg and finally had to come out. Backup Casey DeSmith came in cold, not having expected to play in the outdoor game, and performed admirably. He was the tough-luck loser.
The fans were great, and the Boston Pops even did "Sweet Caroline" (dun, dun, dun!) Next year's game will be in Seattle out side at Safecom field with the Kraken against the Golden Knights! Can't wait!
It's the Bruins and everybody else....heck, Colorado is out of the playoffs right now! And no matter how spectacular he is, McDavid can't get enough help in Edmonton. Knight are very shakily holding onto first in the West, and Seattle looks legit right now.
Stone out, Martinez hurt....remember last year Vegas led the division at this point last year too, only to fall out of the race and miss the playoffs completely by the end of the season. Couldn't get a home ice win last night. Just not clicking on all cylinders.
Man...sucks for Pacioretti.... granted he hadn't even seen the line up till last week because of recovering from his injury but in his 4 games or so he was looking like the right add to the team....
Lots of debate on where he will fit in on the IR and what we do for a player from that point on.
That said, Andersen is looking good now that he's back in the line up.

Yeah, he worked hard to get back on the ice, so I’m very disappointed for him.
But the canes are fortunate this happened before the trade deadline. That will free up a large chunk of change and open our options up for a deadline pick up.

Well, hate to a player like him go down, but so far looks like Vegas made the right decision letting him go as we wouldn't have lost much considering all the additional injuries he's had.
Okay, first, Boston is just unbelievable this season and absolutely deserves to win the Stanley Cup based on justice.
But we know that often President's'zz'sesz' Cup winners usually falter in the playoffs, so there's that. I have a hunch they'll at least go deeper than last year.
Now, I don't know how in the heck Golden Knights are still in first place in the Pacific. I mean, +16???? Are you kidding me??? Next worst team in first is 'Canes and they're only at +27.
Anyway, they are up by a measly 1 point over, now it's the Kings again playing footsie. Knights have been atrocious over last 10, but just barely good enough to hang on. That pass by Hughes out of the corner/side to Hamilton to give the Beelzebubs the OT win last night (they are +41 and tied with the 'Canes for first in the Metro, btw) was ridiculous. Thompson just stays there and stares in disbelief afterwards.
I was tryin' to go see them in Raleigh, but that game is just gonna be too hot a ticket for me, so I will traipse over to Nashville instead and catch them...whether they're still in first by then is anyone's guess. Last season, the injury bug and the IL shuffle kept biting and slowly dragging them out of first and then out of the playoffs. I thought we'd fare a bit better this season, but it looks kinda like Deja Vu all over again. Max is out again for the 'Canes, so we didn't miss anything dropping him off, but Stone-sy is out again and Eichel needs to step the heck up here and earn what we traded for him (Tuch and the Sabres are slowly climbing up in the East, just passed the Panthers, if you haven't been paying attention--Yowza!)
Meanwhile, tonight on TNT, we have the Oilers (okay, Conner is cool to watch) against the Blue Jackets????? (No, just NO! I already seen enough of them this year- why are they on so much?--they're horrible and in last place by a mile in the Metro and not comin' back. Unwatchable despite Gaudreau (did you see/hear the cheers for him comin' back to Calgary??? Boy is that team different this season!)
Oh, but there's also the 'Canes at the Stars in a must-see TV game, but NOOOOOOOO! The NHL programming is just gay sometimes and it needs to stop (including in pregame, Bettwomyn). Cut the crap and just give us guys playing hockey.
OK, gonna go get my Canuck out and hope that the Kraken don't get 2 pts tonight and tie the Knights finally. Rooting for Vancouver is a new low, but ya gotta do whats ya gotta do. Maybe we'll beat the stRangers in NY on Friday??? What the hey...Okay John, what do you think?
Welp. What happened? Blue Jackets actually decided to play some puck last night. Took out the Oilers in OT at Edmonton. Who would've thunk it?
Meanwhile, in the game that should have been on, but somehow wasn't, CarolinaHereICome took out the Stars at Dalla$$, and Vaqncouver rolled over and died like a dead fish as Seattle rolled 6-1. Tied with the good guys for first in the ever-so-weak Pac. Oh, Leafies beat the stRangers, so they're not gonna be too happy this Saturday Night...

My goodness we need Shea and Mark back. Good to hear Theodore might suit up Saturday against the stRangers. It's been a struggle without these two key players. Eichel, we need you to step up, son!
Yeah, I thought so. stRangers make up for that Toronto Loss and squish the Knights in New Yawk, who finally fall out of first, just by one point, though. To the Kings, who have been skating well. Logjam at the top of the Pac standings, with only 5 points separating 1 through 5, so a LOT more Hockey to play after we go into the break.
The Golden Knights lost for the seventh time in nine games and are just 2-6-1 over that span, while totaling 19 goals in that stretch — 10 coming in the two wins. Vegas was 0 for 2 on the Power Play to fall to 1 for 14 over their last seven games. On the good news side, Shea Theodore returned after missing 20 games with a leg injury and LW William Carrier also rejoined the Golden Knights after missing five games with an upper body injury. Golden Knights finish the long four-game road trip at the New York Islanders before the much-needed All-Star break.
I sure hope they play better in Nashville in a week-and-a-half when I get to see them.
Well, Adidas is screwing around and so is Fanatics on SS merch but I managed to order a plain SS Canes jersey tonight. Should arrive in time to go to the game. My conscious wont allow me to get a Fanaticsbrand jersey when the team wears Adidas, but Fanatics has player ones...go figure
