Yep 6'5 200 WR out of Indy Warren Central was a WMU verbal but offers from IU Purdue Akron Ball St Miami OH Akron Pitt Toledo UT Martin. Critical pickup at a need position.

Gotta love taking one away from WMU! This program is truly turning around!

The one thing I'd like to see us add between now and tomorrow (or really even the late signing period in February) is some linebackers. It's great that it sounds like Sparacio will be back, but after next season both he and Kline will be gone and we didn't really address the position last year other than those two. This year we have Eliuk and that is it.

Outside of linebacker I think we have added a lot of talent in the last two classes:

QB: McCoy, Blount, Udengwu
RB: Jackson, Jackson-Anderson, Brown
WR: Lassiter, Wood, Walker
TE: Reese, Anton
OL: Anderson, Jackson, Lee, Indestad, VanBoening
DE: Bogard, Blair, Fletcher
DT: Tullis
LB: Kline, Sparacio
DB: Scott, White, Dobbs

Yeah, it is almost impossible to get a handle on recruiting now as it is a free-for-all in the transfer market.

It's not like these recruits (transfers) have been recruited for many months or more.

Can you address where we stand vis-a-vis linebackers? Posters suggest we switch out of the 4 2 5 but need more LBs, esp. outside backers to do so.

Haven't seen much activity in the LB position. Perhaps some of the DBs on the roster will be converted. Or the actual type of defensive scheme is still wide open for next year.

A name to watch for us is Devin Nicholson from Detroit Cass Tech a LB who is transferring out of Missouri.

Oh that would be a nice pickup! If you remember he was a big recruit and actually committed to us in high school but ended up decommitting and signing with Missouri. He played as a true freshman and had some productive years at Missouri. He only played five games this year, not sure if he was hurt, benched, or what. Because he played as a true freshman I believe he would have just one year left, since 2020 didn't count.

Interesting it appears there are a number of South Dakota St players who may hit the portal that we may look at. Also it appears we haven't given up on signing a JUCO at tight end.
