Exclamation Is Ryan Silverfield afraid of losing?
That is the only reason I can think of for his milk toast predictable play calling . There really are worse things than losing, cowardice among them.

He has won over 60% of the games he coached

Some people are literally incapable of understanding who calls the plays.

RE: Is Ryan Silverfield afraid of losing?
I posted on the other thread we are one of the top 20 offenses and red zone teams in the country and that’s with P5 teams playing a few cupcakes too where they are are beating up on schools 63-10.

The only issue is our 3rd down pct as a team is low (.334). We tend to go for the home run plays on first or second downs and get bogged down on 3rd downs

CRS always saves some of the playbook for conference games later in the season. As long as we are winning he can do that.

Yeah I have been wondering about that also. I hope it is true because our offense right now is so vanilla. We will find out I guess, probably against Houston.

RE: Is Ryan Silverfield afraid of losing?
The more succinct question is whether we have a poster or two who can’t stand our coach? Since when is winning not enough for a Tiger fan? Sonny, I have sat there and watched us lose and lose and lose again in past years. We have been expert at “snatching defeat from the jaws of victory”.

Right now we have an outstanding won / lost record at home that stretches back several years. I personally enjoy any game where my Tigers leave the stadium with at least one more point on the scoreboard than the other guys.

If we are not winning “pretty enough” for you, then I think you are probably never going to be happy.

Since Norvell. That's when.

Well, if you haven’t noticed, Mike Norvell is 4-0 this season at FSU. He AINT coming back. Time to move on from that.

Everybody that has ever played on a organized football team knows this.

That has nothing to do with it. They've seen how Memphis football CAN be.

Norvell is a tough act to follow both on and off the field.

I don't disagree. But I am not the missing 20k people. I am 4 season tickets with me and my wife begging 2 others to join us, and no takers. Not even our 3 grown children and my son's wife. And all 4 of them are alumni.

You mean Tim Cramsey? Since he's the play caller

Good luck trying to explain that. Some people are literally incapable of understanding that the OC is the play-caller.

Ole Miss had the same problem on Saturday.

Wow. I must say, I'm surprised. I mean... they WERE playing Tulsa... an assumed win. And was that significantly before kick-off? I believe Ole Miss has a reputation of people staying at the tailgate longer and milling into the game sometime in the first quarter.
