This board is always in meltdown after every loss.

You'd think we were a school that went undefeated multiple times in last 20 years.

We lost a game by 3 points on the road.

We win more than we lose. The sky is not falling and Huskie football has a chance to win next weekend.

The sky DID fall some. Another chance for a rare G5 win wasted.

The home team wins 70% of the time in college football. The odds are against us every time we play a road game.

Maybe we need to schedule us one of those UMass/FAU types.

We lost a game to a very similar team by three points. This game means nothing, whether we win or lose it. We can’t brag that we beat Tulsa. We aren’t embarrassed with a loss to Tulsa. It’s a long season. We have a Power 5 school coming to our stadium in a week. And then another power 5 on the road. Those are wins that we could brag about.

True, our first two games no one was going to know if we went 2-0 because the media could care less about the MAC or our opponents.

We can still get a P5 scalp against Vandy. Although I don't think anyone cares about them either.

I'm not sure what the problem is around here.

I am confident Hammock will identify what happened and have the defense fixed by next week.

Our pass rushers choke every time they have a clear path to the QB. Fix that…

It is what it is, but I wish I did not take every NIU football loss so hard and like a kick in the nuts. In real time I wanted to punt at 4th and 4, but I admire the aggressiveness, basically we were 4 yards from a hard fought victory. The coaching staff obviously felt good about the play and they should have, because it was wide open. That play I was longing for a QB fake handoff bootleg that worked so well at the end of last year. When you lose because of simply not making easy catches it just stinks and hard to get past.

On to Vanderbilt, a victory next week will be sweet if we can get it done.

Hang in there Huskie Nation, it is a bumpy ride we call NIU football. I think we still have much more thrills for us lined up this season than disappointments.

The Vandy game is definitely more important than Tulsa, let's get that SEC pelt. Having said that, the Trib and Sun Times would definitely make extra note of us as long as we stayed undefeated.

Good game last night, too bad the good guys didn't get the W. On to cornholing Vandy...

I had the exact same thought on one of the first 3 downs where they handed off. Rocky fooled teams so badly on that play, typically near the goal line where team is expecting a handoff which is similar the situation last night with Tulsa crashing in.

If we beat Vandy next week it will still be a respectable OOC. The MAC overall really needs some wins. Pretty brutal first 2 weeks for our conference.

Fire all our defensive coaches and bring Knowles back. This is gross.

You're clearly forgetting how pathetic the MAC is

It was stupid to go for it. With the D struggling and the lead, you gotta give the D as much leeway as possible.

What went wrong was the playcall on 4th down. Fixing the D won't fix that kind of stupid.

Gumbs drops a wide open pass to win the game and McCray drops a wide open pass that would have had them approach field goal range and this is the conclusion you somehow draw? Might as well just put a sign up that says “if we lose it’s because of the coach.”

Don’t take this as a pro-Ducker comment, it’s probably more pro-Ratdog, but the RBs have looked pretty average so far. They haven’t looked bad. But at best I’d say they looked good. This is the unit that is suppose to be elite. Top of the conference and one of the best duo’s in the nation. Waylee and brown shouldnt be averaging 4.5 ypc.

Running 3x before the dropped pass is a coaching decision not a player decision. Pretty conservative and dumb if you ask me. Im still sold on this staff but they need to get their ? together.
