Bates not playing has had nothing to do with this, the same way that Lomax doesn't. It is ALL because Williams is playing. IF Bates was playing he would be playing within the framework of the offense and he would be a real weapon.

The two biggest beneficiaries are LQ and Nolley. Look at their numbers with and without Williams and it is night and day. Anyone who associates any of this with Bates not playing is an uninformed, ignorant POS.

I got a feeling that is all we will hear in the NCAA tourney as well.

Its a lot of crap, but they will all repeat it anyway.

There were locker room issues due to a lack of leadership...You cant blame Bates for playing the minutes he was given and shooting the shots he was allowed to shoot.

We lost those 4 early games because of the locker room.

I think Penny had a conversation with Bates about cutting his minutes when Landers and DeAndre came back and Bates (or his Daddy) weren't ok with it.

I don't hold Bates responsible for anything and wish him well whatever he does going forward.

Bates is going to be a pretty good darn player, once he matures. His body and mind are not yet ready. But in a year or two he will be really good.

Love the kid, but for whatever reason he ain't playing.

Personally, I don’t care. All that stuff is sort of in the past, we just have to win right now. We are playing well so let’s keep that mindset.

I don't know about that, I'm sure he means well but Elgin is directing Emoni's career and is the main reason Bates wasn't as prepared for college level play as he might have been.

Doubt we ever see Bates play here again, or DJ Jeffries for that matter, but I guess stranger things have happened.

Hope Penny goes after one or two of LSUs players in the transfer portal.

Yeah I think Dad truly believes he has done what is best for his son. He has just been wrong about a lot of his choices. He has no experience and really doesnt know what is best.

Well, just to perpetuate the narrative, Parrish is sitting in on the CBS Sports channel March Madness 3-hour extravaganza. As they were discussing the West region, he mentioned that Memphis has been the #2 ranked team in winning percentage (or something to that effect...) "since Emoni Bates hasn't been playing for them." How's that for crapping on the kid? Was it really necessary???
