The G5 needs more prominent figures to speak out. Unfortunately, the only way to stop this corruption is to hurt their pockets a little. Otherwise they won't care and it'll be the same issues year after year.

I would love to see Gill front and center. Be clear, articulate, and fair.

His voice would resonate across the G5 IMHO.

The only solution to this is to expand the playoffs.

You could beat Alabama and not be above Alabama in some people’s eyes. There’s no hope in this.

Saw a Marshall fan mention this in another thread, but I agree with him. Bring back BCS rankings and expand to 12 team CFP. At least with a formula, you can schedule accordingly. With the committee, you could do all the right things and not pass their convenient "eye test" and let a blue blood walk right ahead of you.

I think there should be a wider array of votes that are composited like the AP and Coaches Poll.

- AP votes used
- SunBeltbbs

I listened to enough Finebaum shows over the years that you don't beat Alabama, Alabama beats itself and the opponent is the beneficiary of that error. That fanbase is something else.

FBS football is the only sport in which has no true champion. You can do everything and someone can still reject you. You don’t play your way into a playoff you are placed into a playoff by corrupt individuals. FCS football, NCAA basketball, NFL, everything if you keep winning you can become champion, Not fbs

Isn't FBS the only sport/division where the highest level's championship isn't governed by the NCAA????..FBS and CFP is a rigged cash grab for a handful of teams.

You are correct, which always made it odd that NCAA could vacate USC’s 2004 national championship.

A-State's 1st year in D-1 in 1975 we were 11-0 and no place to go/didn't make a bowl. Nothing new under the sun . . .
