But that definitely does not mean they have the kind of ‘good’ relationship that you’re implying. And please stop trying to make Tommy m just about me, or shrug it off that he was leaving, or now gone. The sooner you guys can face up to the damage that was done by his remarks the better off you will be. Especially during the very difficult situation you guys are in right now.

I know for a fact that both ULM and ULL presidents are willing to support Tech getting into the Sunbelt if and when they decide to go to 16. The relationship between the three is very good as they need each other to navigate the UL system together. Tech is regrouping but not in unfamiliar territory. We do choose our own path and it sometimes comes with pitfalls. We have no major regrets on the matter. I personally did not like what Tommy said as things like that should never come out of Administrator's mouths. There is a reason he took a #2 job somewhere else. It is one thing for fans like us to say stupid stuff but for him it was wrong. I hate ULL and am free to bash them all I want, but our Administration has to be diligent in maintaining relationships inside the UL system.

I absolutely believe both schools would support and vote tech in the sun belt. Its a money maker for us to play tech yearly in all sports. I believe we went with east plan after southern miss mainly to get Troy back in the west where they belong not as an absolute against tech. I don’t believe la tech would be as warm to us and the Cajuns if the shoe were on the other foot though.

What are you basing that on? Don’t you think that Tommy m’s presser might have put just a slight damper on that rapport? And also affected ULM and the SBC? Unless there has been attempts on ltu’s part to walk that back privately that we’re not aware of, but based on your non-answer and everything we know about this, no attempt was/has been made to clean up that mess.

Franky, I can assure it was communicated to Savoie and Bruno "there's a reason he isn't here anymore". Don't trust everything Jay Walker says as whole truth. His job is to rile the fanbase up and put a Vermillion spin on everything.

I will also second a comment from another thread that Don's > Billy's.
Hey sickem. So you can confirm that there was an attempt to clean up after Tommy’s presser was released? And lol Jay has never spoken about such a meeting or lack thereof at least not that I’m aware of.

Yeah Dons is waaay better than Billy’s. There is also billeauds in Broussard that is high on my list and that’s right in your neck of the woods.

Whoa whoa whoa whoa...stop right there.

Who the hell do you think you are sharing Billeauds with anyone? That's supposed to be a secret.

Every time I go back to Lafayette I get a case of seasoning and a sack of boudin. We literally put the seasoning on everything.

I should neg rep you for that, you jerk
Lol. Sorry. But it’s actually not too much a secret. It usually makes all the boudin lists, etc. also, i haven’t been in a while, but I usually see out of towners (i.e., Texas folks) there when I go. I like it cuz it’s just north of grimy. Got a real ‘lived-in’ vibe to it if you know what I mean. And it has hands down the best cracklins. Not like that brand new Nunu’s….all sterile and everything.

Same can be said for both Don's now. The original with one counter four different tile patterns mix matched coolers was better though. I guess I need to swing through Billeauds tomorrow and try them again. NuNu's gets a slight edge for me because I can grab some vino, bourbon, chicken apple sausage, and boudin on the way home.

I like Don’s, but I do find Billy’s to be a better cracklin when hot. But I’ll buy a jar of don’s and go hard on those sumb******** for a week

What could have been if you had only been indifferent to SBC western members the last 20 years.

Who said they were? Appalachian State hasn't been Division 1-A for that long, so who are you to say? Or maybe you're just a follower instead of a free thinker?

Thanks, the Sunbelt hate comes straight from the mouths of ULL and ULM posters. They have created that monster. Tech fans as a whole respect the hell out of the Sunbelt and what they have done as a conference. They have strong leadership which CUSA has lacked. Tech chose its own path which wasn't intended as a slight to others. Just because you don't do what others want you to do doesn't mean that you don't respect them.

Your administration wanted nothing to do with the sunbelt it’s not anything we or ULM did.

Oh, good grief!! What did you expect the athletic director of a Conference USA school to say for his school's followers? That Conference USA is trash and that his school is f***ed?! That the Sun Belt Conference is hands down superior in every way and that every member school that would ever consider Conference USA is trash and their fans are stupid? I guess that's the fantasy come true aroused Suck Belt fans have always wanted, yeah?

Cry more.

Omg. Nice attempt at straw-man logic there.

How about something not in the extreme of his total a-hole un-professional statement (and body language, etc.) or the total a-hole statements you stated? How about a ‘thanks, but no thanks’ and leave at that? How about not using childish, message board names? How about not insulting 1 school and an entire conference?

Instead he chose to make an arse of himself and also gave ruston a huge black eye.

Trust me I’m laughing not crying, and what do I want I want Tech to call us Louisiana like everyone else in the country since the NCAA recognizes the name not Lafayette like they did in this video and when we play y’all in sports. Also it’s it’s very easy to say, “I think CUSA is happy with our current alignment, next question.” If I was him

First off, you don't play me in sports. Secondly, there's this:

https://louisiana.edu/about-us/media/pro...sitys-name

Quote:Proper Use of the University's Name
University of Louisiana at Lafayette has been the formal and official name of the University since 1999. Please use it in first reference to the University in text. UL Lafayette may be used as an abbreviation to refer to the academic institution when clarification is necessary.

Name: University of Louisiana at Lafayette
Academic Abbreviation: UL Lafayette
Athletics Nickname: Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns
Athletics Shortened Names: Louisiana, Ragin' Cajuns, and Cajuns
Athletics Abbreviation: LA (for score/stats listings only)

And since the reference is to the university as a whole and not the sports teams of the university the name, Louisiana-Lafayette, and the abbreviation, UL-Lafayette, applies.

You are one sick mofo. Not one of what is listed by school contains a hyphen, yet you added 2 of them. I mean wtf is wrong with you anyway?

Cry More, Franky. Cry more. It was the decision of Louisiana Tech University to come to Conference USA when a spot was open. It is not the responsibility of any individual associated with a member of Conference USA to make the Suck Belt sound like a dream conference or to glorify any of that league's member schools.

More deflection. Way to not address how you added hyphens that don’t exist, just to feed your sick obsession.

Its okay.. You can fly into Alexandria, LA and be within driving distance to your new conference mates in, Lake Charles, Natchitoches, Nacogdoches and Pineville.. That Tech/La College matchup will be one for the ages. All the best.

Could La Tech make it as an independent for a brief period? Sure. But long term? I'm not sure they could negotiate the TV deal necessary to offset the travel.

Yes, there are so many variables these days that it’s hard to say how it would work out in the long run.

We keep answering your question but you don't like it so you continue with the stupid witch hunt. Go suck on an onion back at the Sunbelt board.

Oh. So much (misdirected) anger there.

Not to worry though. Sicem provided the answer (see post #68 on this very thread) I was looking for, which BTW also completely contradicts the false narrative that you and all the other LTU posters have been trying to push. He pulls for the wrong team, lol, but at least he is an honest person who doesn’t turn a blind eye to what everyone else can plainly see.

Have a nice day. It is a beautiful fall day here in Laughfeyette, Cajun Nation and the SBC!

Peace out.
