Personally, I wish they’d come along. Good competition, short drive, our fanbases have some edge to them.

UAB would have been a good addition in the SBC. Too bad their heart was set on the girl that's going to treat them like crap.

Yeah, I think it'd be fine to share a conference with them, and they obviously stir some emotions. It's been interesting to see folks on here insist that it just isn't a possibility. I guess there may actually be something behind this reputation beyond just message board chatter.

I'll say this on tech. They are screwed for the short term. Long term, who knows. if Memphis and SMU do end up moving to the Big 12, the AAC might choose to expand again, and they'll probably be prevented from going after the SBC again, meaning La Tech becomes a very viable option, but none of that is a certainty.

Why would they be prevented from going to the SBC? Also, I think they took 6 this go-round cuz they knew they’d be losing a couple more, and this way they won’t have to do anything if that happened. Not mention that there a whole lot of other teams that would be a lot more appealing than laturd if they find decide to add again. I mean they’re not gonna call them up just because they feel sorry for them cuz they got left behind this time, lol.
