USM is horrible. Pretty sure our win over Jax St is better. Rice shouldn't be much of problem, but after that we will see how UAB stacks up to the rest of CUSA. La Tech and Marshall are always dangerous, but UTEP and especially UTSA look like legitimately good teams. If we manage to win those games we will likely face another explosive offensive team in WKY. Winning CUSA this year will be a lot tougher than in years past.

Right now Charlotte is leading the east, so keep an eye on them.

Hopefully we beat Rice. Rest up and heal on the buy and run the table.

USM isn’t “horrible” — they are beaten up and on their 4th QB which is a bad combo for an inexperienced OL. We’ve been there.

Did TJ3 look bad in terms of arm strength or what exactly? I wasn't able to watch the 2nd half.

No, not really. They played very conservatively, only threw a handful of passes. He looked fine on those, just a little rusty on accuracy on the deep ball. Missed a potential TD to Shropshire in back of end zone when he threw it to inside vs outside shoulder.

He mostly handed off, and he did to a few runs which he looked fine but they made me cringe given his injury history.


He also led a long run where he hustled downfield and laid out a DB.

To be fair to TJIII, that ball could have been caught by Shropshire. The throw was a little further inside than I’m sure either would have desired, but that was a catchable ball.

Right, forgot they had that big win over Grambling State at the beginning of the year. Cmon man, you USM sucks. At this point it seems you're just being contentious.

USM has some talent. They’ll be back. Right now they are wounded and can’t be competitive against much of anyone with any defensive ability. Doesn’t make them “horrible.” UAB happens to have one of the better defenses in G5 and would make any team in USM’s situation look very bad. But go on, continue the hyperbole.

Except the ones we lose to. Well, they suck too but we suck worse.
Our offense is high school level.
Our defense is only ever good because the teams we play suck.
We should never ever enjoy a win despite the fact we sat through 25 years of suck and voted deep into our wallets to be here.
We should never be patient and enjoy anything because NEXT LEVEL TODAY.

If something had changed in the last three seasons it wouldn't be brought up. We still have the same problems and we still can't beat good teams. It will continue to be an issue and continue to be talked about until it's no longer a problem.

Those with delicate sensibilities should probably start a Blazer Echo Chamber page on FB. Then Super Fans can celebrate CUSA wins and preach to the choir til their hearts content.

ULM is much improved so Liberty is still really good. Ga State beat ULM 55-21 in the previous game.

Southern Miss isn't horrible, just 1-6 with only an FCS win. All their fans think they're horrible but USM fans are probably bammers-lite.

TJ3 didn't look bad, he was just rusty and didn't get to do much. Other than the JSU game, TJ hasn't looked good the whole season.

DD must be a current or former journalist or PR rep because spin and narrative seem to be his go to style. I will say he is better at it than some of the bunker buddies on here.

TJ has been hurt since the 1st series of the Georgia game but Ok. There isn’t anything to evaluate vs USM to really see if he is well. Question isn’t answerable yet.

ULM can be both much improved and play their best game in more than a decade, and Liberty have a bad day and still be a good team.

UAB can have a good team and still have a lot to improve.

I haven't seen a single person post that we aren't any good. I just wish we were better in year 5 since The Return than we were in year 2, or year 4. I don't think we've really improved as a team since 2018 and our offense is the main reason. It's the obstacle to elevating our program so it's going to be mentioned and mentioned again until something changes.

The problem with these discussions is that quickly devolve into hyperbole. As I said in a previous post, we all want the same things. The fact is we've made substantial progress as a PROGRAM in the last 4+ years. The word program is all encompassing for a reason. Teams don't move up, programs do. Again, I'll say we scheme to fit the talent on hand not the talent we wish we had. As the program continues to progress, the talent and schemes will adjust to match.
