That is the funny thing. You don’t see UAB, FAU, Marshall fans coming on here and throwing hissy fits like sorority girls over other programs attendances. Their programs win games. I really don’t care how many people go watch WKU perform 15-15 over the past 3 seasons. Could care less. Better things to worry about.

UAB has more conference championships than WKU does winning seasons since 2018. Easy to understand that dude being jealous and bitter. Nothing better to talk about. Story as old as time, jealous of others success so they try to bring everyone else to their level.

Really. Ok. Link me to your source for that 2017 and 2018 season ticket number. I mean, I can say that we sold 40k if I don't have to back it up.

Ok, to start with, you had a legit source on the seasons. I apologize. I very seldom see anything where the administration actually talks numbers on those, and to be honest I did not google that before I reacted. OTOH, when I said I'd be amazed at 5,000 I was thinking to myself that I doubted that the number was even that high. The Return in 2017 altered a lot of norms.

If they sold seasons as a contribution I never heard of it. Either way, thank you for making a contribution. We needed all the help we could get, and I'm grateful.

I'll still hold my ground on "Don't talk attendance smack when your school's attendance is in the lower half of the league's" though.

LOL....WKU attendance is so weak and pathetic that their fans get sensitive and come up with ways to try and prove others don't have better attendance. This is hilarious.

Western has as many conference championship in the last 6 years as UAB does in their history of playing football....

Western has as many winning seasons of football in the last 10 years as UAB in their history

Western has more 11 win seasons in the last 7 years as UAB in their history

Western has more P5 wins in the last 8 years than UAB in your history

As for winning Western has the best historical winning % in CUSA for football and basketball.

See how that works when you just pick out the best years of your history. Did you really want to open up that can of worms?

What does this make, 3 or 4 UAB fans to name call in their post. We all seen, you cant deal with facts. I made one post then all the others were a REPLY to UAB fans.

The one thing I dont do is "try" when I post I know the FACTS before getting into it. Do you know the definition of attendance? It has nothing to do with tickets sold or make believe numbers.

I can show with facts Western is usually at the top 3 of CUSA in asses in seats. Which is the definition of attendance. Of course you will still go with your "FEELINGS" that's all you have

Once again we see who is throwing tantrums and cant handle facts. You should really really really think before engaging me on facts or history, Western's or even UAB's...

I most likely know your schools history, better than you do.

When all you want to do is change the subject....

you loss. I dont know why you cant just be a man about it and admit that. But I will engage you on the 1-4, I'm not disappointed other than losing disappoints me. But I posted more than once I thought Western could easily start out 1-4.

I also believe at the end of conference play that record will be 8-4 and most likely a 8th conference win and #3

at·tend·ance
/əˈtendəns/

noun
the action or state of going regularly to or being present at a place or event.

The number of people present at a particular event, function, or meeting.

If you believe that stadium was 54% full vs FAU that's your choice. I think you are blind as a bat. But it's still your choice to believe that.

No where have I talked "attendance smack" because you will not find a comment by me saying....

UAB's attendance sucked
UAB's attendance was awful
UAB's attendance was good

What I actually said...
UAB's attendance was different than what was in a box score. There was no way in hell (not those words) 25+k in the stands at that game.

That carried over to the box scores in no way matches the dollars UAB reported for tickets sold in past seasons.

Nothing in any of those post were smack and just because the facts I posted hurt some UAB fans feelings. It still doesn't make it smack.

edit: on second thought the one post I believe my 2nd one in reply to a Western fan where I was making fun of a UAB fan thinking anyone is going to believe 10 to 15k was watching the game from the concourse...

was smackish

Where you there? Then how would you know? You can't see the concession lines that were 30 deep with 4 lines at each one. You cant see the concourse that was 10 or 15 deep and lined up all around the stadium. Or restrooms that had people standing 4 deep and a line around the building at each one

You were not there so you must believe it if a fan was at the game and said the above added up to the other 15k

You probably wont get that unless you read last weeks thread so maybe I should add a 03-lmfao

Southern Miss looked like they could have fit everyone on the visiting side into seats on the lower home side. The top on both sides didnt look like there were 2k combined...

my guess more like 15k tops around the end of first half

Why exactly do you care so much about UAB’s attendance?

Why exactly do you care so much what I say about UAB's attendance?

Well I haven’t been replying to anything you’ve been saying, but you just seem to go out of your way to question everything UAB. I was at the first game, there were not 37,000 people in that stadium at one time. I guessed it to be around 30,000 and I don’t believe that’s far off. I could not make the second game, so I have no idea, but the number is definitely inflated there too. I just don’t understand why in the world you care so much and take so much time to discuss this topic. It’s weird is all.

One other thing I’d like to point out, in 2019 UAB basketball didn’t triple a local high school ticket sales. You could count the people in the arena with relative ease at any given game that season. I’m glad the Ehsan debacle is behind us, and hope our numbers can return to respectable.

I skipped over the bold when I first answered you post....

if you go back to that thread you will see you said the exact same thing I did. I said going by the pictures and from the overhead view on TV I thought there was 30k.

My next post I changed that to 2/3 full or around 31,500 to add 1500 for people in restroom, concessions and concourse that are unseen. Depending on how large a crowd is I usually add in extra a few hundred to 1500 (5% of my guess)

I cant help it if I thought it was funny a UAB fan was trying to tell everyone that 25% was hidden from view. An he was getting pissed because no one believe him. All I asked him to do was show pictures of those fans. Halftime, sure, it might have been that many fans in the hidden areas.

My mind is always open and can be changed but it will take facts and not how someone feels about it. As many years as I posted on this board most people understand....

I try my best to deal in facts and not my feelings. I believe my very first post on this board was if you dont like facts we are going to disagree often (we as all). Sometimes its my view of the facts and I always welcome someone to show me how I'm wrong. That can and often does rub other fans the wrong way...

most fans rather deal in how they feel it should be and I guess a few times I went down that road. But no where in this topic

edit: I dont hate or have anything against any school in CUSA. Dont care who moves on or who stays or who's winning. Now I dont care for Dirty Bill Clark but I can set that aside on OOC games. I'm a fan of Western and a fan of history in sports and will support Western no matter who they play against or in the conference. Since the age of 18 my life has been build on facts and numbers and solving problems on both. So I usually come from a different angle than most....

some love to complain about every problem. I look for what is the best way to solve that problem and always start with the simplest and move on from there. I will argue my point and do that with as many facts as I can get my hands on. I will be the first to admit that I can sometimes go on and on and on trying to do just that.

The one thing I wont do or try my best not to, is to make it personal. To me this is debating other people not my team vs theirs us less other make it into that. Even then I will come back with facts as I know them. Well I like needling Reggie Favor, so anyone but him so sometimes I cross that line. Even when I know I should just stop because I honestly dont dislike S. Miss and most of their fans

If you look at the wide angle shot during the coin toss 2 minutes before the game start you'd have to round up to say the stadium (36K capacity) was one-third full. I don't know what ticket sales were but can any Southern Miss fan say there were honestly more than 15K there at any point during the game?

The stadium continued to fill in. We have a big tailgating scene and lots of late arrivals. The east and west sides of the stadium have a capacity just south of 32 and were a bit more than half full. The south end zone, suites, and club seats were all about full and seat about 4.

Call it 20k.

You lost me, Western never stopped playing it was UAB. I made it a point since 2008 (might have been 2006) to buy 2 season tickets to one of Western's away game and donate the other 5 to the Boys and Girls club in that city. Mostly.

Again I'm not sure but I believe UAB was allowed to have practice games their last year of not having football and sold tickets . I had no intentions of attending. If I'm not remembering that correctly then it was just a donation to their program because I'm fairly sure it was a year before they started back playing. I also added UAB to the list of my away game season tickets for 2017.

Up till year before last I had not missed a Western game (in person) home or away since 2008. Game tickets are usually around $25 to $35 dollars. So it was my way of helping other programs in CUSA by just buying two of their cheaper season tickets...

I used 1 (1 game 2 tickets because my son also went) and donated the others. One of the reason I became such a Western fan at a early age, the Boy's Club would take us to some games.

If it helped me to become a lifelong fan maybe I donation can turn a few more kids into fans of their local G5 school.

I guess I took the long way around to answer that short question

The one thing I dont do is "try" when I post I know the FACTS before getting into it. Do you know the definition of attendance? It has nothing to do with tickets sold or make believe numbers.

I can show with facts Western is usually at the top 3 of CUSA in asses in seats. Which is the definition of attendance. Of course you will still go with your "FEELINGS" that's all you have
