That's really good news if Cisse happens to come back. I always felt like he wouldn't want to leave. But I understand a crowded bench with Cisse, Malcolm, and Sam - all who can only play the one position.

Sam will most likely not receive significant minutes as a true freshman. I am not "being down" on the kid in anyway, however, it is unlikely he comes in a freshman and plays big minutes.

Agree about Sam.

But breakdown the minutes. They all can only play the 5. So there's only 40 minutes for the 3 of them. And that assumes Penny never goes small ball with Deandre at the 5 (unlikely).

Sam will get some play - say 5 minutes.
If Cisse comes back, you can expect he will get more minutes this year - it will be a condition for him to come back. Say he goes from 19 to 25.
That leaves 10 minutes for Malcolm - max. He's been around 13 minutes for his career.

Will Malcolm be happy having his minutes reduced in his 3rd year?

I hope Cisse comes back but if he's laying conditions on what it takes to get him back, I hope he doesn't come back. Penny needs to run the team the way he thinks he needs to. Not have someone tell him how many minutes he need to play.

If Cisse meets with Penny to discuss coming back, Penny will layout the plan to max his potential and help him get to the NBA. That will most certainly include increasing minutes - along with FTs, catching passes, and defending in space. His minutes would almost certainly go up - whether Cisse sets the condition or Penny offers it.

Heck I accept those conditions if he accepts mine...

Shoot 70ish percent from the line and be able to hit open 12 foot jumpers...He meets my conditions I would guarantee he can play 25 minutes a game.

I would settle for 60% from the line and an occasional drop step and jump hook from 8 feet

Would be ecstatic with that as well.

It’s hard to be ecstatic about a 30% free throw shooter.

Chamberlain tried it and said he felt like a sissy. Shaq said “Too cool for that. I’d rather shoot zero percent.” Out of the top ten reasons players don’t use the technique, the coolness factor is is for sure #1. There is no 2-10.

Mj couldn’t carry Wilt’s jock. Wilt still has 70+ records and he hasn’t played in 40+ years.

Just for starters, Wilt scored 50+ 118 times in his career. Easily the most ever. Mj is second with 31. Wilt averaged 50.4 a game for a season. Along with 26 rebounds.

Nope.
I was wondering if Jayden would transfer to SC State with Coach Madlock ??? He would be a significant contributor at that level ....

I don't think many would argue with that...But his era doesn't compare well to today.
