Been awhile since I posted in the political board but yup and it’s too comical to pass up.

He’ll be a free man likely in a few years based on everything I read regarding the way this case was handled and the appeal process. These were about as non political law articles as I could find that were out before Maxine Waters and others made their recent ignorant statements. It is sad that the first level of the judicial system can now be bought out by a media narrative though.

Anywho, drug addict foaming at the mouth/delirious and a cop where my opinion of him went from total POS to idk what he was suppose to do as the case went on so (Note: There were numerous complaints before this instance) since my opinion doesn’t mean anything F it carry on as you said. Until my property is destroyed I could care less.

The judge and the jury basically washed their hands of being responsible for a riot. That's all that happened today. The judge by not sequestering the jury on purpose and the jury by obviously knowing what was going on outside. The judge even basically admitted as much by admitting there was ample mistrial material provided by politicians.

I think it is great that there was no "celebratory rioting". Goody for the masses.

Unfortunately because of people like Watters not keeping her mouth shut, there is a real chance that this is far from over. At this point, Chauvin should just go away quietly as collateral damage to this whole mess - and ultimately he probably will, but but before that happens there will be a lot more drama to unfold.

The question to ask now however it what will come of this? Will people be more embolden to defy authority? Thus creating more events like this? If you hamstring police from enforcing the law, then you might as well repeal "the law". Is that your goal here ComTom? Will Authority be less hands on (more passive) to enforce the laws they were hired to enforce?

Regardless of the verdict, there is a sea-change in socially acceptable behaviors for good and bad people alike. This is going to get ugly. By and large there are A LOT more "law abiding citizens" than there are "not law abiding citizens". People will start fighting back at some point when they feel like police are helpless and that is when the blood will truly spill.

I hope it never gets to that point, but it will likely take an act of god now to stop it.

He said that President Joe Biden was not wrong, legally, to comment on the case Tuesday once the jury had been sequestered, though there was a risk in raising expectations of a conviction, in the event that Chauvin had been acquitted.

Later, in remarks to the nation, President Biden appeared to endorse the pressure placed on the jury: “For so many, it feels like it took all of that for the judicial system to deliver a just — just basic accountability.”

Tom should ask himself how he would feel if he was indicted for something he may or may not have been guilty of and during his trial politicians including the president and members of congress called for your conviction and you had groups intimidating witnesses and jury members while the trial was in process.
