Possibly in the top 3?

ANOTHER point guard?!? How many would that make on the roster? 7 or 8? 03-lmfao

6’ 4” and freshman of the year in the Summit. I think when you a chance to land someone as talented that fits your system you take it. Keep in mind some of the guards will graduate and he has 3-4 years of eligibility left. Would be pleasantly surprised if he chooses JMU since he’s from Minnesota and I don’t think he has a connection to the area.

He looks like a really good one. Great numbers for a freshman.

And he's from Prior Lake, Minnesota. My question is "Prior to what?"

So, what is the over/under for the number of JMU guards entering the transfer portal next season due to lack of playing time.

3.

350 schools. Over 1000 in the portal this year.

It is what it is. Byington is showing JMU fans he knows this part of the game.

CAA is winning the transfer game thus far- on a net basis schools including JMU have improved their talent - Northeastern was hurt but they also brought in a guy and are in the mix for others. JMU, Hofstra, and Towson have landed some nice transfers and Charleston and Drexel are about even. Delaware has some guys returning for the extra year. League should show better next season.

I won't claim to know Byington's system but I expect constant subs in and out and give the hot hands (or guys who earned it in practice) the most minutes. But you're right it is bound to leave to guys who are unhappy with minutes, production, etc.

With that said I think you can't say no to a kid like this. He has potential to be CAA POY based on his freshman year and if his style matches ours then the sky is the limit.

i have no idea his connections to JMU but he surely wanted the hell outta that shithole Grand Forks/und

quick handles and a scorer, he should produce right away. Summit was a good league last year

Daniel akin from umbc is a graduate transfer who is making his decision soon. Wouldn't be surprised if he picks the dukes. If you watch his highlights he would be really fun to watch alongside amadi. Like really really really fun.
