Nobody said it's the catastrophic downfall of the university except for you. We all have said that the entire process has been mismanaged from the beginning and the end result is something that is incredibly ugly and looks awful.

You can’t honestly sit there and think this design “update” is aesthetically pleasing from a sports perspective. The soccer uni’s just proof the idea that this update translated horribly to a sports uniform. Soccer won’t be where it ends. This is my concern. Not drama... just true concern that we are gonna be seeing this same drab logo on all our uniforms... that stupid circle looks good on letterhead sure... but on the front of our teams jerseys? Puke.

I'm not happy with the way the rebrand happened or the outcome, but it's just..meh. Whatever.

I don't know...I was completely anti-new logo, but I think that soccer kit is fire. They're so weird and out there, we may have just fallen ass backwards into a distinct cool new look.

And they basically went San Diego Padres with the colors, which by the way, are awesome.

So I don't want this to go by without mentioning that I will always love the gray jersey the hockey team wore in the early 00s. Gold logo, black trim, not a school color on it.

Most people on campus do NOT agree with him. Because, most people DO care. You are picking fights with people who agree with you. Are you damaged?

It makes a lot of sense as to why a re-brand was needed but the execution was terrible.

Summary of my gripes:
- Ghost bronco - Remove the outline, remove the gold and I'll be fine with it. Just because the colors are brown and gold doesn't mean the logo needs both.
- The W with a circle around it - okay, just dont use it in athletics.
- The W logo with the "Western Michigan University" font. The font choice is terrible and looks like it comes from a cartoon.
- Bring back old Buster. The new one still looks like a freak and a creep. My kids (who aren't even born yet) are deathly afraid of the new buster.

Olde Gold, or "Vegas" Gold as it is now called, was the color used in uniforms dating back to Buck Read's earliest days as basketball coach.

Merle Schlosser introduced "yellow" gold jerseys to football for a season in 1959 and Doo similarly-colored pants in 1965, which caught on in several sports until 1990s and change back to Olde or Vegas Gold and the introduction of black.

In particular Eldon Miller's basketball teams, including the great 1975-76 one, had a set of yellow gold road unis that they also occasionally wore at home.
