I got it, too.

Should be interesting to see what kind of feedback they will get.

Yes.

I'm more annoyed that we change logo every few years then I think the 'new' Ghost is ugly. I like it's a potential return to Wyoming Brown & Gold.

& renaming Gary Fund just another example of changing something just for the sake of changing it.

Well-done video tho.

I got it, too. I'm sort of indifferent toward the new 'W' and Bronco head logos, but it's definitely not an upgrade over what we had. Sort of pointless. I really hate the new font though. It's the kind of font you'd see for a skydiving company, not an academic institution.

Not impressed at all with the changes. I guess I am OK with that ugly circle and W if it is not used on athletic uniforms. It looks OK on a letterhead or a banner but terrible on a uniform.

As others have said, the execution of this was not done well.

Our tradition is having no tradition, apparently.

This constant rebranding reminds me of working in education, where our school district would bounce from one new program to another as soon as the administrator changed in the district admin bldg. Every year we'd have a new focus, rarely sticking with the "newest best thing" for more than two or three years.

Anybody else feel like the horse head looks maroon?

Maroon and yellow. Good job, Proudfoot.

My son, who currently attends WMU, absolutely hates the new athletic logo. Good luck on selling it. I personally don't plan on purchasing anything with new logo. Apparently, we'll have to wait for a new administration.

That video is OK. I don’t see it doing it’s job though.

It’s more of a mission statement. They want to do “New” but with a traditional look and basic goal of being good in the MAC. I’m OK with that.

To me the video isn’t selling to a customer. It’s more something you’d play at the board meeting the month before evaluations come through.

The video to me does an OK job as a presentation piece, but it doesn’t really focus on the alumni sports consumer on a personal level.

I just go, hey those sound like good approach’s and yeah we are diverse and balanced and get good results. We have good academics, etc.

But nothing there is tagging at my heart to rip off a check. It’s not about me. I want it to be about me. Ha ha.

I am totally ok with flipping the ghost bronco around. Sure... but then they went and took the "ghost" back out of it. The Ghost bronco is just the original bronco head logo but with a majority of the edging taken out to give it a "ghost" look... you can literally just overlay the ghost bronco over the original bronco logo and see what they removed... Now they go and put all of that back in and continue to believe its the ghost bronco logo... now they go and paint in the colors and it looks atrocious....

Here’s how the football team is gonna be marketing with the new logo. Prepare to see this turd on the helmets.

Will be interesting if they go a single one color logo on to be overlayed on the jersey or helmet color. That may not be all that bad. My assumption was they were not and the logo will be multi colored. The new bronco looks much happier or friendly (yuck)

What's wrong with that logo? That's essentially the inverse of the ghost bronco we all know and love.

IMO, we went from a sleek cool design (one of the best in Michigan) to "meh" -- and some people don't really care. Actually reversing the logo doesn't make any sense either -- it makes you stand out from your pier institutions. Why fix something that isn't broke?

But honestly since they removed the "gold", the logo looks a lot better.

That logo does look better without the gold, IMO. It's still backwards though...

I don’t know if anyone has seen but there is going to be a campus car parade october 2nd where you deck out your car in bronco spirit and drive around ring road and past a panel of judges, spirit zones, and bronco marching band. Prizes awarded. A great way to use some anti rebrand attire. I’m thinking of decking out my pickup and doing some kind of signage against the rebrand. Let’s get more involved.

Excellent idea! It sounds like they give everyone a "swag bag". Wouldn't it be great to drag that ugly yellow flag behind your car?

I have to admit that the circled W stands out when put beside other schools in schedule lineups. It's simple and clean. Just my opinion. I've tried not to be impulsive and waited for various situations to view.

However, I do not like it solo on hats and gear. It lacks the punch needed to promote Western.

Good idea about the swag bag. I may just through it back in front of the judges table. This would be a great format for creative protest and to draw attention to the issue. Weird it’s not on a home football weekend
