MLB Moves All Star Game To Colorado, Which Has Voter ID Laws, Significantly Less Dive
Quote:Major League Baseball has reportedly made the decision to host the 2021 All Star Game in Colorado after caving to pressure from the political Left to boycott Georgia after Georgia passed a new election security law, which included having to include a driver’s license number when voting by mail.
“Coors Field in Denver has been chosen to host this year’s All-Star Game,” ESPN reported. “It will mark the second time the homer-friendly home of the Colorado Rockies will host the Midsummer Classic. The American League beat the National League 13-8 at Coors in 1998.”
However, reporters quickly noted that Colorado already has voter ID laws and that the the league was moving to a less diverse area.
“Major League Baseball fundamentally supports voting rights for all Americans and opposes restrictions to the ballot box,” MLB Commissioner of Baseball Robert D. Manfred, Jr. said in a statement last week. “Fair access to voting continues to have our game’s unwavering support.”
The Colorado Secretary of State’s website states:
All voters who vote at the polls must provide identification. If you are voting by mail for the first time, you may also need to provide a photocopy of your identification when you return your mail ballot.
Many were also quick to point out that both the city and state where the game is being moved to, Denver, Colorado, are both significantly less racially diverse than Atlanta, Georgia.
Colorado is 86.9% white and 4.6% black.
Georgia is 60.2% white and 32.6% black.
Denver is 76.1% white and 9.2% black.
Atlanta is 40.9% white and 51% black.
The county where the game was going to be held in Georgia stated that it was going to lose more than $100 million from the league deciding to pull out of the area. MLB’s decision to pull out of Atlanta came after Democrat President Joe Biden said during an interview last week that he would “strongly support” the decision to pull out of Atlanta.

Some dude was on here saying that black GA players needed to hit the transfer portal and get out of state. I guess he thinks they need to move to Crackerville, GA like the MLB did.

That would be me. Not sure why you are complaining, chances are reasonable some would go to Memphis.

Called this in another thread I’m not gonna look for.
Ga. Went back to the same schit they had for the most part and what 80% of the states already have and have had.
Reffenslacker got played and lost everything in his purview, now they’ve refixed it. Good for them.
So, sure. Move to the lily white, snow capped and exclusive retreats of the hollyweird and rich and famous. Guess hard working Georgia LOSES yet again. Been a pretty long long run of losing, wonder when they tire from it?

Does the Colorado state legislature have final authority over the state election board? To me that’s what this is really about. Can the Colorado state legislature suspend local election officials if, for example, they don’t like the results?

In all honesty I don't care if you give people a month to vote or a day to vote - I wish and want any and every legal vote be cast and counted. The bottom line is that you need a little more than "someone's word" as identification.

The DNC used the black population centers to cheat so that they could use the old “racism” argument when anyone challenged the results. What do they get as a reward from MLB? The game moved to crackerville. You can’t laugh at this hard enough. The black democrats are once again chewed up and spit out by the white democrats.

My theory about "moving" it from GA a disguised attempt to cancel it entirely proved wrong.
I'd have thought they'd move it to LA or San Fran. Don't those cities have majority minority populations?
I wonder if they moved it to CO b/c isn't CO fairly open for a Blue state? Not that that'd matter for a sport that's playing a full season in all the franchise's home cities & for a game that'll have limited attendance no matter where it's played.
What a scam.
