Republicans are not your friend either

I don't like the feds stepping into something that is a state responsibility. Other than that, I don't have a problem with red flag laws as long as they are narrowly tailored. Florida's works well. You get due process in a hearing shortly after the guns are seized. Moreover, in every instance I've seen, it was absolutely justified. There are some terrifying people put there who should not have guns. These laws have saved lives without a doubt. That said, if I was in a blue state, I might feel differently. Not sure I'd trust Dems to only seize weapons when absolutely necessary.

Let's be real, if we were talking about "red flag" laws for Muslim extremists instead of for crimes perceived to be largely done by white males, it would be unacceptable. What we need is better mental health intervention. You either spend money on that or go with Democrat gun control proposals that amount to roughly a mosquito fart in a blizzard.

The nation is in serious need of gun escrow where private parties hold firearms for the owners while their access to them is legally denied.

A large number of firearms are never returned to owners. They disappear in property rooms all over the country.

Red Flag laws only break 5 or 6 constitutional rights. How can that be a bad thing?

At this point, Populism is the average citizen's means to attack the Swamp, i.e. the Deep State.

Democrats have moved so far left that they no longer hide their communistic agenda.

Too many Republicans seem too willing to join them.

And there are too many on the fence that need to know exactly where the majority of Americans -- the sane, rational ones -- stand.
