Yep.
OK... well that speaks volumes TBH.
I don't know anything about the Qanin conspiracy theory - never heard of it until the left started talking about it. Don't know the details. Don't know anybody on the right who knows the details or believes it.
#'s apparently knows the details because he was the one that said that QAnon is equally outlandish to Trumpgate. You know #'s.
*edit* It's hard to believe that you guys are completely unfamiliar with QAnon.

I don't know anything about it except what I've read on here, which may or may not be accurate. My answer was to a question that I perceived to be asking whether, "Russia, Russia, Russia," was as outrageous as what you described as the Quanon conspiracy theory. Considering that, "Russia, Russia, Russia," was investigated at the highest levels for tree years and they basically drew a blank, I'd say it would be pretty hard for anything to be more outrageous than that. I certainly have no basis for calling something I have never heard of more outrageous than something I could not escape hearing about for three years.

And I don't have a clue what Quanon is except what you and others have written on here. It would seem that if something were a major factor in conservative beliefs, the conservative posters on here would at least know what it is.

I guess I'm going to factor in your calling Kamala Harris "the most despicable politician in the history of the world" into account when it comes to your approach to drawing comparisons.

Similar to me factoring in the left’s persistence on the validity of the Russia hoax into worrying about Quanon.

When someone who has been telling me for three years that aliens have taken over CAlifornia then tells of me of another conspiracy that supposedly I know something’ about, I tend to take it with a grain of salt.

IOW, the left’s credibility is shot with me.

Fine, I stand by that. For the record, I don't consider the likes of Hitler, Stalin, or Mao to be politicians in making that observation. I consider politicians to be people who actually stand for election in contested races, not despots who overpower their opposition.

And by the way, her sleeping her way to the top is only a minor factor in that judgement.

So, we are back to people who don’t mind calling the POTUS a traitor , liar, thief, etc., taking umbrage at the word “slut”.

FTR, I don’t care if she slept her way to the top.

It is because they disagree with his politics. I think that is the same for the members of the Squad, individually and collectively. Nothing to do with their sex, race, or religion, everything to do with their politics.

But it seems many of the left jump first to racism/sexism when a conservative disagrees with a female or person of color. I think that is because in the minds of so many lefties, the right is the home of racism, and it fuels everything we want/oppose. When you expect to see racism, it becomes visible, even if only in their minds. Once again, I turn to perception.

My only observation is that Bernie's politics and AOC's politics are pretty similar. Bernie seems to have a lot less vitriol directly his way by the right, despite the fact that he has more political power (Senate vs. House; also seniority).

Slut has a racist undertone? What race?

So, If I lock my car because I am in a "bad" neighborhood, that doesn't have racist undertones? Good to know. I will feel much better about myself when I do that. Maybe even give myself a pat on the back. WWL(eftists)D?

She is going to be the first female POTUS, and the Party of Identity will gush over the "firsts" she will set. IMO, better Harris than Hillary.
At least Harris earned it, in a manner of speaking.

My niece has on more than one occasion called her cousin, my nephew, a man-slut.

The fact that there is no male equivalent to the word slut makes it sexist? Or does it simply identify the sex?

What about lothario or cad? Are those terms sexist?

I know a lot of single women who think ******* is a generic term for men.

Slut is sexist and mysoginistic. I wasn't trying to say it was racist. There are certainly other words with racist undertones, I was just trying to make the point that "traitor", "liar", and "thief" do not have any kind of racist or sexist undertones. They are race and gender neutral.

It is just grand to watch older dudes defending the use of "slut" toward a woman. Reminds me of the good old days when women couldn't vote, own property, or have their own bank account!

Walk around the office and call all the women slut a few times. If you get hit with a Title VII complaint, then it is probably a gendered derogatory term. I'll trust those results over the fact that your niece uses "man-slut".

Ah, yes, 100 years ago, or this morning in leftist terms.

I think "slut", like "bastard" or "fop" or "gold digger" and other derogatory terms, has its place. When used correctly, they are descriptive, just like 'traitor" or "liar". Big seems to be protesting any use of the words, proper or not.

Is it used correctly by Numbers in reference to Harris? I don't know and don't care.

But I do think Big's reference to "older dudes" is ageist AND sexist. Quick, find me a safe space.

He's also been called a racist, misogynist, pedophile and even a SEXUAL PREDATOR (by the very person who is the subject of the word 'slut' among many others).

This is just such a low comment.

It is a description being applied to a single person... and has similarly been applied to men in cultural context. It is not and never has been (by anyone on the Parliament I'm aware of) applied to women in general. Unlike calling Trump a racist and then applying that description to basically anyone who voted for him... which some people on the parliament certainly have done.

Trump's white and male... does that mean that all white males are racists? Some have actually implied that. All women are not sluts... in fact I'd wager that only a very small portion are... some men are as well... maybe even more than women.

My daughter failed to advance in a career because she declined to be one... which makes the guy who asked for it one and not her. He's a slut. The word applies and is accurate. You can discuss with #'s whether it applies to her... but to act like 'decent people' don't use that word is ridiculous and an obvious act of attempting to deflect criticism based solely on the genders of the attacker vs the attacked.... and you all know that very clearly.

RE: The Squad versus Reps Greene, Boebert, and Cawthorne
And this is picture perfect progressive politics at the national scale:

"Reminds me of the good old days when women couldn't vote, own property, or have their own bank account!"

Hate to tell you big, the word 'slut', even when used at the extreme cases, doesnt come even fking close to "women [can't] vote", "[women can't] own property", and even "[women cant] have their own bank account".

Perhaps when you climb down the historonic mountain you construct, there might be a productive conversation in their somewhere.

If you want to go down the Biden example of 'blacks will be back chains' with re: Mitt Romney (which is what you do above), it just comes across as shallow.

Are there NO women who fit the definition of a "slut"? It sounds like you and Big think referring to ANY woman as a slut is wrong. How about the woman who comes up to your car in certain areas of town and asks if you want a date? How about the women who will come to your hotel room by appointment?

I think there are lots of people who fit the word "traitor". George Washington for one. I think lots of people fit the word "liar" Bill Clinton, for one. I think lots of women fit the word "slut", too. In fact, I heard a Biden voter refer to Melania as a gold digger, saying the only reason she is with Trump is for his money. I don't know if gold digger = slut in the lexicon you guys require, but it sure seems similar to me. Sex for a quid pro quo = slut.

Slut has a racist undertone? What race?

Slut is sexist and mysoginistic. I wasn't trying to say it was racist. There are certainly other words with racist undertones, I was just trying to make the point that "traitor", "liar", and "thief" do not have any kind of racist or sexist undertones. They are race and gender neutral.

It is just grand to watch older dudes defending the use of "slut" toward a woman.

Yep... watching the wagons get circled up in defense of calling women sluts is always something to behold on the Parliament.

Are there NO women who fit the definition of a "slut"? It sounds like you and Big think referring to ANY woman as a slut is wrong. How about the woman who comes up to your car in certain areas of town and asks if you want a date? How about the women who will come to your hotel room by appointment?

Those are prostitutes. Not the same thing.
