Hard to dig yourself outta that position, but the above is a good effort. A+ for effort.

Perhaps you should read the comment that I responded to, that is, as opposed to another one. Funny that that context escapes you. Fun, fun, fun.

Lets look:

You got torqued up about my "put[ting] quotes around a word [you] didn’t use". Then you repeated you got-to (I assume now) of a liar. Please tell me where there is any mischaracterization of your post that I directly responded to (i.e. the one directly above my response, if you cant quite fathom it).

Funny, to me, the words "put[ting] quotes around" seem to mean a specific thing. So I responded to *that* specific thing you brought up. Literally.

Please do tell what *you* think "put[ting] quotes around" means.

Or, are we going to get into the lad-world thingy of arguing the differences between 'denial' and 'ignorant'? Are we going to include your thesis and studied and professional discernment on what either 'denial' and 'ignorant' mean in conjunction with your good feel words of 'butt' and 'hurt'? I am sure you mean the very best with any and all of those words in usage together.

Take a fing ritalin.

Just more "sarcasm" from Tanq. None of need be put off by a little sarcasm.

Nope no sarcasm there nor none intended. Just an insult in line and in response to lads insult.

Sorry if it confused you there pardner. I'll studiously try to set up a system so you can more efficiently note the differences in the future.

Got it... you had previously defended your behavior here as "being sarcastic". Now I see that you acknowledge that you can also be insulting. I also see that you blame your behavior on Lad. Cool.

And on more than one occasion in these forums I have explicitly stated that I very well may respond to an insult with an insult. I think the times I did not type that in specifically I used the term 'counter punch'.

I would assume that term is somewhat decently understood. At least in tanq world it is.

Perhaps if you want to make a point, at least be complete and accurate there pardner. Or not.

Cool.

Now that that is no longer an issue, have any other bugaboo burrs affecting your sensitivities, since you obviously feel the need to jump in (complete with incomplete observations that is)?

Kind of surprised to get that much credit from you.

True, sometimes they can be sarcastic, or even mean the opposite of what they sound like they mean, like "bad' and 'sick". They can even be meaningless noises, huh. Maybe context is important, can I get an amen?

I was just harkening back to the debate that neither of us were in regarding the usage of quotation marks. I was just "funning" you. Sick. Way out. You da man.

That investigation didn’t happen because 50% of the country believed it. It happened because there was sufficient evidence to warrant an investigation...

Typical.

I see you’re going to put quotes around a word I didn’t use - typical Tanq. Did you intentionally misrepresent what I said?

I put quotes around them there to delineate the two words specifically. I was taught when the issue was the word itself, as opposed to the meaning of the word, one delineated the word to separate the issue of the word away from the meaning of the word.

That way, as if in a brief to a judge, the judge knows the issue is the word and not the underlying meaning of the word. An amazing concept, one that you didnt even bother consider as you sail forth and do battle.

if you bothered to read what I typed, the concept seems pretty clear that I am comparing two distinct words. Tell you what, next time Ill put percentage signs around them to make double good sure you understand....... sound like a plan to you?

Seems like we (i.e. you, that is) *are* going to argue the fine distinctions between 'denial' and 'ignorance' as you seemingly are wont to do ad infinitum. Fun fun fun.

Based on your response, I guess you *dont* understand the concept of delineating words as words. Hmmmm... perhaps we should explore. Got it. Here is an example: 'intact' is after 'immature' in the dictionary. Did that lesson help? Are you clear on the concept now? Or is more necessary?

And, interestingly, you seem drawn back to your 'liar' issue in the manner that a not-really-with-it dog runs to sniff and nibble deer turd. Fun, fun, fun.

Have a warm and fun day there sir lad.

Edited to add:

By the way lad, while I did see your 'apology' the other night, I also did note your follow up on how it was my fault that you used that slur. Kind of makes it into a non-apology.

Reminds me of a guy in my last year of law school legal clinic, who was before the judge and figured that an apology would help him avoid the ire of the judge after he pled guilty to slugging his wife. He apologized for his act, then immediately turned to his attorney and said 'she made me do it'. Funny that that memory surfaced the other night when reading your 'apology turned to excuse' in your follow up comment.

Now you charge down that same slow Joe path without even bothering to read the context of the phrase that you sneer and grouse about. Good job and (slow clap). Maybe look at the context of a post and sentence before a knee jerk. If *you* dont plainly see that I am referring and delineating two words, that is your mental problem and not mine. Fun, fun, fun.

You literally said my “comment on butt hurt and ignorant.” You’re literally saying that I made a comment about people being ignorant - I did not.

This is a silly back and forth - I know what comment you were responding to. But that one before it was where you accused me of calling people butthurt and ignorant.

I didn’t call people ignorant in my post - being in denial and being ignorant are different things. To you they must obviously be equal, hence why you said I called people ignorant.

So whether Trump was voted out fairly or not, he is out. I think we need to follow the American way, and move on, for now to the next Administration, and then to the next election. I also think we need to follow the American way and not try to extract vengeance against the vanquished. However, I think that will be the Democratic Way, and may signal a change in the American for the future. Tit for tat will prove to be the undoing of this country.

What were the bad Dem actions that were implemented solely by Dems and not any Reps?

This is a silly back and forth - I know what comment you were responding to. But that one before it was where you accused me of calling people butthurt and ignorant.

And you flipped the fk out over something in 'quotes' --- something that literally didnt and doesnt exist, mind you. I guess that makes you a 'liar' since it was false; twice. Funny that.

It doesnt exist *anywhere* except where I delineated the words as words, mind you. You know, the one who you repeated your 'liar' crap.

Quote:I didn’t call people ignorant in my post - being in denial and being ignorant are different things. To you they must obviously be equal, hence why you said I called people ignorant.

Interestingly --

denial means an inability to accept as true something that really is.

Ignorant fits that same definition, among other forms of the same general type behavior.

Denial is for purposes a subset of ignorance. Even more so in how you paired with the other words it in your original statement on the subject.

If I have cancer and my doctor tells me that, and I say I dont -- that is denial, that is also ignorance.

Man up, and accept your statement for what you said, including the supersets. If you didnt mean it, say that. But stop with the gd Harlem shuffle that denial is not a form ignorance. It is. In all of its facets.

The interesting thing is that with the election, it might be accurate. But the problem is that you dont seemingly understand that saying that explicitly doest help --- it amkes it worse. *That* is why I am suggesting the things like an audit. But you then double down and claim that denial isnt ignorance.

I mean, for crap's sake even *you* call climate skeptics 'deniers' -- given that are you *seriously* trying now to argue that you use that word in nothing more than a perjorative sense of ignorance in that arena? Good grief I wasnt born yesterday. Of course, if so you would be off to the fing races to say that term in each arena means something completely different or some gobbledy gook crap like that. So just stop talking about the same word out of both sides of your mouth, lad.

You seemingly think that calling them explicitly ignorant is the best tactic. have fun with that one.

So take your fing lad cha cha cha word 'nuance' schtick about *your* usage of the word and jump off a cliff with it. It's really tiresome. It's what I tried to avoid at the outset when I delineated the words, mind you.

And take your new lad world go-to trick of calling everything a liar and jump off a cliff with it as well.

And, honestly, take your lad 'I apologize but you made me do it' insincere apology with you off that cliff, especially after you seemingly repeat the same action which you 'apologize' for like my Aunt Agnus does her nose twitch trick on demand.

And on cue, here is Lad asking me to show him the proof.

It sounds as if he is saying, yes the dems cheated, but so did the Republicans. He wants me to prove the cheating was disproportional.

Can't do that Lad, nor is it something I said.

Sometimes I wonder if he reads my posts before he replies.

that is, lad not only didnt quote exactly, he simply pulled a new concept out of thin air. The hypocrisy is just amazing.

Just previously sometime in the last 24 hours he lambasted me for exactly just that. JFC it gets tiresome.

You said “I believe there was a lot of Democratic bad actions.”

How can you believe there were bad actions but not point to what they were? I didn’t even ask for proof (as you said, that may not be possible to provide), I asked for what the bad actions were.

If you can’t even name the bad actions that were undertaken by Dems, how can you argue that “bad actions” occurred?

What are you even taking about? OO literally said he believed that there were bad actions by Dems (see bold). I asked him what those actions were...

Are you smoking something tonight?

Edit: if you’re solely referring to the comment about not by Reps, it was to get ahead of allegations of expanding vote by mail, which was a bipartisan issue. Both Dems and Reps expanded mail in voting this year because of the pandemic.

First, I said "I Believe". Need an explanation of what that means? It is at least as founded in fact as the belief of many in your party that police forces are full of homicidal racists.

Second, you asked me "What were the bad Dem actions that were implemented solely by Dems and not any Reps" (This time the quotation marks indicate a quotation). I did not allege whatever you are asking there.

Third, others here have pointed multiple times to actions by your party that many find suspicious. Much better foundation for that than the supposed collusion "evidence' you think is meaningful.

Fourth, Democrats have a history of cheating and getting away with it.

Fifth, since you clearly believe the Dems did not cheat, is that a belief founded on facts or faith?

Wait, wait, wait, because you say “I believe” means you don’t have to have an explanation of the statement? Again, difference between saying show me the evidence to back up your belief and asking for details on the belief.

It’s astounding that you won’t even provide details on your belief - it’s just Dems are bad, therefore there must have been fraud.

Also, the reason I asked about actions solely confined to Dems, is that any bad actions that were carried out by both parties would theoretically cancel each other out. So it’s really only relevant to talk about bad actions taken solely by Dems. But then again, if you can’t even articulate what those actions are, there isn’t anything to discuss...
