I like Kelly too. I heard her speak before she was senator. I was very impressed.
She and her husband are very generous with their donations. She's very bright. I'm disappointed we don't have someone like her in the Senate.

I don't consume mainstream media. I listened to her talk a fair amount -- sadly -- given my proximity to GA and being in a media market that has a few GA counties in it. Loeffler is an airhead. You can afford to be generous with donations when you parlay insider information into stock trades. That's a practice which both parties engage in wholesale, btw.

Kelly had her talking points just like EVERY other politician out there. I would have liked to have seen her get off them a little more like she did when I saw her in "real life." But are you going to tell me that Biden and Trump WEREN'T vapid and Kelly was????

Warnock had easily the best media team, both in the primaries and in the general election. He had really good commercials. They got him elected in spite of who he was. He's going to make AOC look conservative.

No, I'm going to tell you Trump is a vapid blowhard and Biden doesn't even know where he is, which is perhaps appropriate for someone who spent a career with a finger firmly in the wind to judge direction and strength before taking a stand.

Thats why this was an incredibly bad outcome. Had the Senate stayed in Republican hands, Biden, would have been required to run at least "toward the center" since he'd need to do things he could get passed in the Senate. Biden would have "cover" for moving to the center. Now---the real energy in the Democrat Party------the Socialist and hard left---will be running the show---and Biden doesnt have any real cover for forcing the left toward the center. As you point out, Biden is a finger in air guy----as soon as he starts taking fire from his own party, he'll make that hard turn to the left because thats the path of least resistance.

You guys do know that the feed on the TV isn't the official final vote count. I don't know Georgia, but in other states it's provided by the county to a third party then filtered trough a service like Edison to the news.

Trying to analyze election fraud through the news networks based on returns is like trying to officiate a football game using only the ESPN Gamecast feed for information.

Blah, blah, blah...

Like most of the people beating the election fraud drum you don't care about the truth, only about what supports your point.

After the fact, you can't prove anything that is actionable. You can produce all the statistical and circumstantial evidence there is (and there is a lot in this case), but you have to get it down to specific ballots to win anything. Once the ballots are in the box, there simply isn't much you can do.

What republicans should have done was to focus on saving the two seats in Georgia, and on finding ways to provide adequate controls to prevent fraud in the future (which we do not have now).

There is video evidence of observers being denied the legal right to observe which is in violation of law.

When laws are broken there should be prosecution and remedy.

And this happened AGAIN last night in Georgia. And it happened in defiance of a court order demanding the observers be allowed to watch.

I have NEVER put anyone on ignore and I really don't want to start now.

Then provide a credible source. GP is not.

3. Mitch McConnell should have passed the checks...It clearly cost them votes in the rural counties of GA. Trumpers stayed home. Now the Dems will do $2K monthly, it would have been cheaper to bring the checks to a floor vote. Stupid.

I'm not going to take the time now, but it will be interesting to see if anyone does the analysis of the votes vs. November.

I haven't checked the senate race specifically, but Gwinnett County went about 55% for Biden, but in the special election went 60% Democrat. That 5% would put Perdue up 19,000 and cut Warnock's lead to 18,000.

What gets people out to vote? Enthusiasm or fear? Republicans were afraid. Democrats were enthused.

Trump base stayed home in the rural counties. It may not have overcome Loeffler's defeat but Perdue probably would have won with close to November turnout numbers in those counties.

I don't think that's accurate. I think the non-Trump Republicans stayed home.

That election was like ULM playing Kansas in football. Only I bet there's at least one quality player somewhere on that field. Last night it was all garbage.

The Democrat campaign was all about getting the Blacks out to vote for them. That was 90% of their commercials. This was a way to show them it was ok to vote Republican. And it was also an appeal to UGA grads. As a GT person, you obviously don't get his appeal. He's an icon. Democrats were doing character assassination and then Herschel says they are both ok.

That'll help people at home getting crushed by pandemic lock downs. =states

That'll balance the budget. =congress

That'll play hard ball with China. =DJT

That'll reduce regulations. =DJT

That'll increase transparency. =DJT

That'll reform the criminal justice system. =DJT + congress

That'll reform drug laws. =DJT let it go

That'll reopen the floors of Congress to normal operations and debates and votes. =pointless due to lobbyists

Thanks for tossing that football and accomplishing all that Herschel!

symbolistic (=) fify....your point?

The point is Herschel tossing a football to Loeffler and Perdue while going "socialism bad!" doesn't win over voters. It was part of give or take $250,000,000 being flushed down the drain and into the hands of media conglomerates by the GOP in a failing attempt to help two very meh candidates across the finish line.

The GOP not only failed spectacularly it also massively enriched the media establishment in doing so.

Like I said, as a GT person, you don't get Herschel's appeal. That was a GOOD ad because he deflated the character assassination by the Democrats. It was also a strike against the "envy" ad that ran non-stop. They do football, not just sip wine in their mansions. Herschel is just a great down to earth guy. We were at an event and Herschel was taking pictures with some performers and was getting ready to leave and my wife went up to ask to get a picture. He said sure and she mentioned she went to school with him. He goes, "No, you aren't that old!" Takes the picture with her. And takes a few others. He's a genuinely great guy.

I understand your other criticisms of the other ads. But it was an appeal to motivate people to come back out to vote, not to persuade people on the fence. They already had an election. And more than 50% voted Republican in the special election and Perdue lead Osoff by 2% in the other race. Libertarians threw it into a runoff. Maybe it wasn't a good strategy when the courts had delayed the election so that there were a full 2 months instead of merely 4 weeks until the runoff.

RE: Georgia Election 2021
WTF is wrong with you guys. The damn campaign ads, and we got them every day all day in East Alabama, had nothing to do with the election outcome. What the damn parties did or didn't do had not one damn thing to do with the election. It's real simple for all of you grasping for a reason which won't compel you to do anything.

It was fraud and vote ratio switching provided by Dominion machines, corrupt polling practices, lack of oversight, all paid for by major corporations to the "so called" republican Governor and Attorney General.

When nothing was changed after the general election I quit posting here because I was sickened by all of the damned excuse making. It's frigging fraud and corruption! And until the people of the State of Georgia demand action this crap will continue.

Do any of you really think your rights are safe anymore?

Tell me how safe you'll feel, how untouched you'll feel, and how apathetic you'll be when Beto's boys do come for your weapons.

What cost the GOP the election in Georgia is corrupt Republicans and a bunch of mouthy citizens that ***** about the elections but don't do one damn thing to change how they are handled. So we have corruption in at least two of the largest cities in Georgia, the same predictable tactics, and a bunch of you start bitching about the campaign ads. That's what people do when they have been habituated to have others handle their responsibilities. What pisses me off is that this time corruption in Georgia is going to cost everyone instead of Georgians. And if anything should be a call to action in Georgia it is watching your Republican leadership at the State level tolerate this crap, and indeed in Raffenberger's case, participate in it, and to have same song second verse in the runoff. Shame on all in that state!

This is what happens when people blindly trust a bunch of corrupt lackey lawyers who play the lip service game instead of electing business people they know and trust.

Our hope is in Joe-Manchin. And that Collins and Murkowski don't buy into green new deals and new voting rights acts.

I get the appeal of Herschel. Just like Loeffler out there wearing her UGAg hat while stumping stammering clumsily through her talking points.

My point is there's very little substance to that appeal. Herschel isn't going to reopen your closed business.

The GOP ran bad candidates. They followed that up with a bad campaign that directly enriched their enemies to the tune of a quarter of a billion dollars. What part of that operation scores above a F to you?

The GOP is rotten. From the core. Maybe they'll try to remove their head from their collective arses now that they have an across the board L. Or at the very least, I look forward to Mitch McConnell and the rest of the Dem-lite gang pretending to care about spending and deficits for at least two years.

I love Loeffler’s personality and find her charismatic and super relatable. She’s probably my favorite senator.

Super relatable? Man she must be the coolest billionaire ever! Was it the baseball caps? Or the blue jeans? Or the anecdote about knowing what it's like to worry about the next paycheck?

Fox news displaying data from a third party election data provider isn't the official results. It doesn't mean anything. I don't know how Georgia gets their results, but in a bunch of the states the county provides a human edited spreadsheet directly to the third party data source. Other states the state provides a data feed from their server.

Besides, Fox is the lapdog of the MSM now and no true Trumpublican watches them.

The only thing "Crazy" is the blind trust citizens put in their elected officials. Do they really think all of these people get independently wealthy in politics because they are clean? It's on both sides of the aisle and always has been. It's just been tolerated and expected way too long. But it is what it is, and perhaps may be the only common thread between those who vote left and those who vote right. The voters in both parties are constantly fooled and betrayed by those representing their parties. PAC money controls Washington and promises made on the right and on the left are dropped for business as usual once the election is over.

Do you remember Obama promising to get us out of Afghanistan, dismantle Gitmo, and reduce troop presence abroad? How did that turn out? The Affordable Care Act was not affordable for the working poor in my area, but it got the insurance companies off the hook for healthcare plans long held by the Boomers just as they were about to start making expensive claims. So the ACA actually helped the rich at the expense of the poorest among us.

I think maybe you picked Patsy for yourself. Besides that what a Dead Fat Elvis would have done!

You are literally the only one as far as I can tell. I found all four candidates highly worthy of contempt ... but Loeffler seemed the most two faced and vapid of all the candidates.

Pretty sure it was her continual use of y'all.
