Maybe he wanted to save them the embarrassment of ranking them near the bottom.

I'm flattered that some are ranking Memphis and Cincy last. We should be "last of the last."

ECU seems very solid in men's hoops this year and I give full credit (and, to be clear, I have been critical of ECU as an overall AAC member).
Good work in Greenville this season in basketball.

This next game is the First time I've been concerned about a home game vs ECU.

It's taken a while but you have to be encouraged about ECU's trajectory. Couple that with UCF already having built a decent program, Tulsa competing, Tulane probably have a bright enough future under Ron Hunter, the schools that were supposed to be more of a basketball liability are doing their part with the growth of those programs.
If the schools that were supposed to be basketball flagships weren't in decline or already hitting rock bottom, we'd have a real decent league.

Aye, but the fact that they are, and that the conference only has one top 50 team at this point makes it crystal clear that the time has come to replace Connecticut with a high-quality basketball school...
...such as Dayton, VCU, or St. Louis.
.
Such a decision could be announced in the Spring if Boise State decides to come aboard as a FB-only member.

Houston, SMU, and UCF are all ranked or receiving votes. So that’s basically 3 top 50 teams

It would seem that he gets paid to promote the “THE SKY IS FALLING AND UCONN NEEDS TO BE REPLACED WITH (Insert random school here)”, disregarding all logic and reason.

Not according to the Massey Composite Rankings:
#51 SMU
#57 Cincy
#69 Memphis
#81 Wichita
#87 UCF
Nor according to this site:
#60 SMU
#84 Wichita
#89 Cincy
#99 UCF
https://barttorvik.com./conf.php?conf=Amer&year=2021
There are two AAC teams in the Sagarin & Pomeroy top 50, but only one in the top 40.
Sagarin:
#42 SMU
#68 Memphis
#70 Cincy
#73 Wichita
#76 UCF
Pomeroy:
#45 SMU
#60 Memphis
#76 Cincy
#88 Tulsa
#94 UCF
#96 Wichita

.
These are not encouraging numbers.
AAC basketball has been sliding backwards since 2018.
It's definitely time to replace Connecticut with a high-quality basketball school.

None of the computer rankings are accurate until midseason....
If you don't think that they are at least somewhat predictive, which of the following teams in the current Massey Composite Rankings top 20 do you predict will not play in the 2021 NCAA tournament?
Baylor B12 6-0
Gonzaga WCC 6-0
Villanova BE 8-1
Kansas B12 8-1
Houston AAC 6-0
Univ Iowa B10 7-1
Florida St ACC 5-1
W. Virginia B12 7-2
Michigan B10 6-0
Texas B12 7-1
Clemson ACC 6-1
Mich. St B10 6-1
Creighton BE 7-2
Illinois B10 6-3
Virginia ACC 4-1
TX Tech.....B12 7-2
Louisville ACC 5-1
Tennessee SEC 6-0
Wisconsin B10 7-1
Ohio St B10 7-1
Hopefully, the AAC teams will improve, and there are exceptions to the rule, but early season performance does tend to be significantly (positively) correlated with performance later in the season for most teams.
