It’s a tough ask to succeed at home.

Fred Hoiberg did pretty well...but otherwise, a pretty compelling case against hiring a former player and one that has a ton of $$$ to being with.

Kevin Ollie might have crashed and burned, but he at least won a national title.

Remember when we went half a year without a 3rd assistant and then hired Jermaine Johnson and here we are unable to even beat mid majors?

I guess Matlock has been around for a while at Arkansas St. and Ole Miss, but do we even have 5 years combined experience on the bench outside of that? How do we not go get a vet coach. Sad we couldn’t get Paulus from Duke.

Yup. This has nothing to do with in-game coaching. This is all about our team not knowing what to do to be successful and that is ALL on Penny and ALL about how the team is being prepared.

The Tigers were +17 when we had Quinones and Williams in the game together. Last part of the game he was subbing them in and out for each other instead of playing them together.

Tubby’s teams were better with Jucos. This is just painful to watch...

Definitely were coached better by a MILE and the players, although less talented, played their hearts out and knew the system.

A loss to Tulsa at home is rough. Even with the ugly slow it down style and 20 TO, we still likely win if we can hit a FT. This team stinks.

Does this loss suck? Absolutely. But it doesn’t mean the team is anywhere near Tubby levels.

This is a top 15 defense. For the second year in a row we have no offense. The offense wasn’t terrible Penny’s first year - which coincidentally he had a go to scorer and people played their roles.

Three issues of which two are fixable: 1) hire two new assistants, 2) find a real PG.

The third may be a function of the 2019 class. Only guy who doesn’t play selfish is Lester.

I watched Penny's comments after the game and he was asked how the guys handled the loss. Down, speechless, etc. Penny said he didn't know. Unless he was just holding out, I'm not sure how the head coach doesn't know that. They should've had a heart-to-heart after that game.

Awful performance on so many levels. No identity to this team and as others have said, they look mentally weak. No fight in them. What they showed in the first half of the Tulane game was awesome. Lots of fire. That was apparently a one-off. Some players look disengaged out there, lost. Horrible shooting, 20 turnovers, on and on. Wow, was that nasty.

It will be interesting to see where they go from here...

Having Martin and Precious did wonders to hide how bad the offense was. Both could get their own shot and draw defenders to them.

But this game has shown that ALo is not the reason we have not been successful. He is as good or better than the other options. I think that should be obvious now.

-1 when they played together.

On another Note...Moussa is killing us on offense. We scored less the .5 points a possession when he was in and he turned it over 5 times in 23 possessions...While many weren't his fault we are trying to force the ball to him.

Up 6 with 4:30 left in the game. Lost by 7. Outscored 18-5 in the last 4 1/2 minutes when Tulsa had only scored 38 the first 35 1/2 minutes. 5 points in last 4:30 and 3 of those were a meaningless 3 pointer with :03 remaining.
