The missed layups
Perhaps the most maddening thing I’ve seen in 40 years

Worse than missed free throws

You miss some bunnies, but our kids miss an ungodly amount of them

Getting great shots and missing them all

You can tell the coaches gives the boys a great game plan...they come out and execute and then when they hit adversity, they check out. They lack mental toughness.

And that requires coaching...it just does

Soft as Charmin...

These kids are not trained for contact. The refs allow opponents to put bodies on these guys and they struggle.

Soooo... you’re attending practices and see all the drills they do or in your case, according to you, drills they don’t do? OK....

RE: The missed layups
Too many times they arent even looking at the basket or taking a shot that has a realistic chance. It is like they just toss the ball towards the goal and hope, whether for it to go in, or get a foul, or one of their teammates to follow. Whatever it is, it isnt working.

This right here. I broke it down after the Auburn game. Before tonight we have missed 102 shots at the rim.

We run good offense a lot of the time, but can't finish.

I agree...Boogie is going to jack up a bad 3 the first time he gets in the game....did it twice tonight. He just wants his. We are much better off with Boogie and Lance on the pines....if Penny would go 8 deep until the game is decided, we’d be much better off.

The numbers say lineups with Alo on the floor are better than lineups with Boogie on the floor.

Offensively before today...We scored about the same number of points per possession with Alo or Boogie on the floor.

Defensively before today...We give up less points per possession when Alo is on the floor than when Boogie is on the floor.

It really aint that hard.

I think he just wants redemption, but thinks he has to score to get it.

You touch on a very key point...

It seems his offense affects his effort.

I wouldn't go as far to call him selfish...I really don't think that is the case.

In no universe are we better with Boogie on the bench.

In no universe are we better with Lomax on the floor. Ever. Parrot or not.

I'll post the numbers tomorrow...Don't have them on this PC.

People hate on Lomax but he makes some very very very stupid plays and they are very visible. But Boogie will just disappear in tough times.

There was not a huge difference before tonight...But Lomax was better...Baugh was the best before tonight.
