I'll take a global pandemic causing disruptions to how much people get out in public for $500, Alex.

Pick up some bread when you go to the store. But I'll be damned if I will go Vote in person. That's some BS there.

I know plenty of people who to this day are getting their groceries delivered and/or picking up curbside - most of us who are getting out voted in person, including myself, but there are certainly others who aren't.

Call it BS all you want, it doesn't change the facts - that's exactly why it came up in this election, and why they evaluated the process.

That doesn't surprise me in the least.

And yes; tons of people are still limiting their interaction with people, especially if there is an easier option available to them. It doesn't mean they're refusing to leave the house for any reason, but if there is another way to handle getting your stuff done, they're taking that option.

I'm sure people with severe underlying conditions have the whole time.

Also, I knew some who stayed at home just so they could ***** about Whitmer restricting things they couldn't do.

I never stayed home from anything I was allowed to visit while under restrictions. Supermarkets, Restaurant takeout, Casino's, Hotels, Church, etc.

https://www.waynecounty.com/elected/cler...sults.aspx

Go to the precinct by precinct results and click on "voting statistics."
You will see the headings on each precinct of 'Precinct', Registered Voters, 'Cards cast', 'voters cast', and '% Turnout.'

You will need to scroll way down, keeping an eye on the column for Registered Voters. Eventually, you come to a chart where you start seeing 0 registered voters. The first two entries on the chart are City of Wyandotte, precincts 9 and 10, then followed by City of Detroit, AVCB 1, 2, 3, etc. These are apparently absentee ballot counting board or bureau.

Notice that these have 0 Registered voters, yet votes were cast and counted. Keep scrolling down. These votes totaled 174,384 votes FROM 0 registered voters.

If you don't care to do this yourself, watch below. If you don't have 15 minutes, start at the 7:30 mark and watch from there.

So, are you going to call the official Wayne County Report B.S.?

The report isn't BS, but the interpretation that it provides some smoking gun of voter fraud and that hundreds of thousands of ballots were accepted from unregistered voters is.

If you scan the Detroit precincts at the beginning of the list they have very low turnout, and 0 absentee votes. 0 absentee votes.

Seems pretty obvious that the mail in ballots counted in the 134 AVCBs are from registered voters in the above Detroit districts. When you register to vote no one registers to an AVCB, they register in a precinct.

Detroit counts their own ballots (and centralizes mail in ballot operations) vs the rest of the precincts are run by wayne county). So in the rest of Wayne county there is a 1 to 1 mapping of AVCB to precinct and they are reported together, but they are counted and reported differently in Detroit.

Direct from Michigan SoS :
Only registered voters cast ballots in Detroit
The Wayne County Statement of Votes Report includes zeroes in the registered voters column at the end of the report because those registered voters were already counted earlier in the report under each Detroit precinct. However, their votes were not. This is because, in accordance with Michigan election law, the City of Detroit reports absentee ballots by combined Absent Voter Counting Board (AVCB) instead of by precinct. Therefore, by entering zeroes in the AVCB rows, the county prevents double counting the number of registered voters in Detroit.
https://www.michigan.gov/sos/0,4670,7-12...--,00.html

“In accordance to Michigan election law”. I laughed out loud at that....

Reporting it this way is in accordance with MI election law.

Counting fake votes is legal in Michigan? Show me that statute. Check the signatures or it aint legal. Proof. Give us PROOF they are legal votes. Do the signature verification audit or throw it out. If election officials have so little confidence in the outcome of a signature audit that they refuse to do it--then the vote should be thrown out redone. Lets have the proof that these votes are legit. Where is the audit?

The point is that these are registered voters, but were not updated in the rolls. Texas had an issue of people were left of the rolls by accident, and a lot were Trump supporters. You get a provisional ballot to do this. In this case, you match these voters to make sure they are registered voters. Once that is checked out that they were? The votes get counted.

But hey let's worry about the fake mail in ballots.

It doesn’t disenfranchise anyone. Worst case scenario is certain state elections are thrown out and those state legislatures—which were ELECTED—will make the decision on the states electors (just like they do for every other budget decision, taxing decision, and legislative decision related to the people of that state). That’s how representative government works.

That said--just because the SC says the election is illegal, doesnt mean you have to overturn its results. if Im a state legislature in that situation, the first thing I would do is order a signature audit of the mail in ballots. If that audit comes back with enough questionable signatures to change the election---then I leave the legislature to make the decision on the states electors. If the signature audit comes back with minimal issues---then I would simply have the legislature rubber stamp the existing state election outcome and be done with it.

Then, if you throw out these voters to disenfranchised them? The Republicans in those states will lose those votes, and give their seats to the Democrats. I am hearing from Republicans that these Republicans that signed this are getting on the edge of TREASON. These are Republican Constitution lawyers saying this.

The vote from the Supreme Court will be 9-0 against this fraud that was filed by a state DA in Texas who is about going to jail. He is only doing this to fish a pardon out of Trump.

But hey let's worry about the fake mail in ballots.

The dumb thing about resistance to things like this is that this only argues for some set of national standards, still managed by the states and likely some variability allowed, but pne standard... i.e. if voter ID is a requirement, it is required everywhere and under extremely similar rules and exceptions, which is what most leftist on here have argued they would accept.... and is consistent with the 'central decision making' that is in almost everything they do.

So why the resistance/derision? How the hell else are you going to create national standards for elections but through the courts, since the feds have no jurisdiction over it?

Pretty sure that the Constitution specifically tasks the states with running their own election...so I'm not sure there is a "national standard" to be had.

I've said this before, but my solution is to issue a SSN and register people as voters upon birth and maintain them all in a national database that the states could all access. Yeah...I know there's privacy issues...but I would still attempt it.

There isnt a national standard---other than the state legislatures are the ultimate decision makers for the selection of state electors. My guess is the SC will say they have no jurisdiction, but the SC will also make it clear that the ultimate "Supreme Court" in each state with regard to this issue is the individual state legislatures which have the right to overturn any ruling of their state supreme court in this manner (especially in cases where the state supreme court fails to actually hear the full case or fails).

SC will not take this case. You are having the state of Texas interfering on the rights of other states.

The answer is simple in this case. Someone who did not have the authority to change state election law, changed the election law. That violates the constitution of the state.

Simple as that. If that is truly the case, and it likely is, that states election results could be null and void. Depends on a number of factors.

The SCOTUS is most likely going to say those legislatures had time to apply their own remedy, and by not doing so, have implied consent to the actions of their administrators. The legislatures have the ability to nullify their own elections right now. I suspect the SCOTUS will tell them to do that if they wish and tell Texas to pound prairie.

The Republicans and the Democrats in PA. worked together and changed the by-laws because of the pandemic. The Democrats can have mail-in ballots and the Republicans can be not tied to Trump's name. It is the same Republicans who signed the suit with Texas. The problem is that the PA Republicans can't have it both ways.

Convenient excuse for liberals. And that’s what it is, an excuse.
Excuse or not those states violated their own election law by not going through the proper channels to actually LEGALLY change the voting laws in their states. It’s a clear violation.

The problem is, Trump ordered the post office to make the mail be slow as a snail. It was a way for Trump illegally to disenfranchised millions of voters.

This investigation has been going on since early November - it is nothing new. If anything, the TX AG is trying to put on a dog & pony show so he gets a pardon from his buddy Trump before Trump leaves office.

The Texas AG has another issue he may be looking for a pardon for. He has been under indictment for 5 years for security fraud.

So does he need two pardons, or only one?
